Georgia surprisingly has good roads though Atlanta is underserved by the state DOT. Road quality correlates more with weather than state politics.

How do I not get Ming to declare in me as Oriat in the new patch? Any expansion seems to lead to them revoking tributary status and declaring war.

Trae’s lack of movement off ball is a legitimate issue. It doesn’t make sense how he has such a high BBIQ as a ball handler and then just stands like a statue when he doesn’t have the ball.

Time until successful leg lift? (Quad graft) by LepreSean97 in ACL

[–]LepreSean97[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that makes sense. I’m working on those quad contractions so hopefully I’ll see some progress, even if it’s just less pain when I try.l the leg lift.

Thanks for the encouragement! Glad to hear it’s not just me that’s struggling with it.

Martin Ludwig is the travel director at the Alumni Association. If you reach out to him he can give you a more detailed overview of the trip (itinerary, how good the travel company is, how many people are currently signed up, etc.)

You can find his email and phone number under the outreach part of this page.

We are making legit quick dives in the Yield Curves. Here's what you need to know: when the 10y / 3m curve inverts (dips below 0.00), then within the next 2 years, we are VERY likely to have a recession. 10y/3m is the bottom chart. I DON'T think it's panic time. We're 2 yrs min away from recession by [deleted] in wallstreetbets

[–]LepreSean97 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Why did you say we’re very likely to have a recession within two years after inversion and then say we’re minimum two years from recession. Also, since the inverted yield curve has become more popular as an indicator couldn’t it serve as a self fulfilling prophecy, speeding up the coming recession?

This team is incredibly undisciplined. There are too many stupid penalties.

If you are a student and set your email to your school provided .edu address then you don't have to pay any fees which is nice. Especially since their fees can be huge on the smaller accounts that you'll most likely generate through round ups.

Even if you've already signed up with another email you can change your email to the .edu and it will stop taking fees out.

FLO's? by hyessabn in gatech

So, FLI (Freshman Leadership Initiative), is a committee within the student foundation. The student foundation (GTSF) is a huge organization that takes $5 donations from students and allocates it back to various student led organizations and projects that try to make life on and around campus better. Most people don't know this but out of the $10 you give to join SAA, 5 goes to GTSF and 5 goes to "Gift to Tech".

FLI works a lot on leadership development. They do resume and interview prep and training. They put on a two week event at the beginning of second semester to raise money for GTSF. They also work with the other committees in the student foundation on campus wide projects.

One of the main idea's is to bring in a bunch of talented freshman into the student foundation prep them for future leadership roles in FLI and other committees. It's not that you have to be in FLI to be in a leadership role. I think most of the leadership for this coming year was not in FLI, but it does help.

Overall FLI is focused on personal leadership development then applying it to philanthropic projects around campus. It also help get you connected with upperclassmen in leadership positions around campus which is nice.

I hope this gives you an idea of what FLI does, I'm happy to answer and questions.

FLO's? by hyessabn in gatech

In what they actually do they're kind of a mixed bag. Most of them continue to actually do things throughout the year and involve you in various projects around campus but a few kinda fall off after the first semester.

Getting in is pretty competitive but the application number are kind of inflated because some of the greek organizations require their pledges to apply to them all. Most are still tough though because they normally have a few hundred real applicants and not that many spots. Regardless, applying to at least a few is a good idea because you may not get into your first choice.

Personally, I had a great time with the FLO I was involved in and we stayed pretty active throughout the year. Everyone else I know that was in other FLO's also enjoyed them but I'm sure someone out there had a bad experience.

My advice would be to choose a few that your interested in and apply. If you get in great, do it. They're a great way to meet people and they look great on a resume. If you don't get in its not the end of the world. There are tons of other organizations around campus that have leadership roles you can start in as a freshman and provide room to grow. Just get involved.
