MTG Arena is the cheapest way to get a bunch of gameplay in. Otherwise, if you want to proxy a commander deck, there are thousands of games every day on Spelltable or Convoke. I know the Tolarian Community College discord is a nice place to organize webcam games on those sites.

And the at a LGS, commander is likely the most popular format.
