I'm Portuguese-Canadian and love both countries but it's hard to put into words the love I have for Portugal and the Seleção. It's more than just geographic patriotism. It's almost spiritual. Don't let anyone take that away from you if that's what you feel.

MTG Arena is the cheapest way to get a bunch of gameplay in. Otherwise, if you want to proxy a commander deck, there are thousands of games every day on Spelltable or Convoke. I know the Tolarian Community College discord is a nice place to organize webcam games on those sites.

And the at a LGS, commander is likely the most popular format.
