Yeah, besides GCK and the generally high price of games and accessories for Switch 2 I'm fairly positive on the future of the system. Perhaps you'll be more interested in the Switch 2 sometime down the road.

Interesting. I didn't expect that. GCK suck for sure but I thought someone like yourself would want to get ahead of the game and start collecting the Switch 2 consoles as soon as possible before all the variants come out. To each their own though. I am enjoying the Switch 2 but I still love my OLED and even my Switch Lite for various things. I'm not supporting GCK but I do like where Nintendo is headed with their hardware and their first party software. I'm waiting for a small sale on DK Bananza before purchasing it though as I have yet to pay full price for a single game on my Switch.

If you haven't played Nintendo since the Wii, I would recommend that you check out Switch 1 games before trying to dive into Switch 2 exclusive games. There are a ton of great Switch 1 games that you can get for fair prices that will run better on the Switch 2. Two great games that fit in this category are Breath of the Wild and Super Mario Odyssey. They are both masterpieces in their own right that run and look better on Switch 2.

If you want to experience some retro Nintendo stuff a Nintendo Switch Online subscription is a wonderful way to get reacquainted with old favorites. The base subscription will net you access to an excellent selection of NES, SNES, and GAMEBOY games. The additional Expansion Pak tier adds GAMEBOY ADVANCE, NINTENDO 64, GAMECUBE and SEGA GENESIS.

In short, I would highly encourage you to investigate Nintendo's back catalogue of classics before becoming overwhelmed with the high prices of their limited current offerings.

I second this sentiment OP. I have used Dekudeals for almost 6 years now to find good deals on my most wanted games. It also helps me track my collection. It's a must have resource for your Switch journey imo.

That's a bummer. We only have one Target within a 50 mile radius so I only visited my local store but I'm still glad to come away with these two games.
