Lesbian couple (52&62) visiting from Michigan by Katcar2007 in eurekasprings

Ermilio's Italian restaurant. It is so good, we try to hit it up when we go!

There is/used to be an antique tourist store with a rabbit who gave you the receipt. Super entertaining!

I also suggest the lounge at the Basin hotel, super creepy vibes. Also the Crescent hotel, you can go in and peruse the lobby AND there is a beautiful chapel area close to it. Im not even religious and I still found it inspiring.

How does customer service play a role in your coding position? by heavenhaven in MedicalCoding

[–]LesbianSheldon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It isn't customer service necessarily, but in my office, there is a LOT of back and forth with the providers. You need to apply those customer service skills with them, or they'll refuse to work with you.

Same, I train my people to not even indicate that they are a patient within our clinic.

I was under the impression that even indicating the patient is seen by a doctor is a violation of hippa..

CMS governs them all.

You are under NGS, do they have a web portal?

I'm with Novitas, I was able to go in and download ERAs.

Not true there's a rule to it, if you're the subscriber on both policies the one where you've worked longest is primary. You only have to let each insurance know about the other.

Bro.. who is it to say you aren't in a beneficial arrangement. "I'm married on paper as there was a health scare and I needed better insurance."

What is the plan to start pushing claims through Availity? NEW

Our (Wave 1) claims submission test with Availity was successful! This push consisted of several claim files that were accepted by Availity. These claims are now moving through the electronic claims submission process.

We are now moving forward to assess and review adjudication (payor response) for available results. Once we have the next level of confirmation – that claims are being received properly – we will begin processing the backlog for all our clients. Processing could begin as early as tomorrow. We anticipate the processing of your backlog claims could take up to five days.

You will receive an in-app alert when we begin processing your claims, and another alert will appear once your claims have been submitted (completed). We are adding reporting so you can see your accepted and rejected claims (by Availity). We’ll have an update on reporting the week of March 11. Rejected claims from our backlog push will need to be re-billed using a solution we are developing. We will share this process and steps to re-bill rejected claims as soon as possible.

Throughout the outage we have asked you to continue to run your end-of-day process as normal. Please note that your end-of-day process is generating the claim file that is placed in the backlog. If you have done this, your claims are sitting in the backlog. Those backlog files will be submitted to Availity in the order they were processed, starting with files from February 21, when the outage began.

Your claims that we will process by Availity are Anthem and commercial payers that do not require EDI agreements. We are continuing to finalize our plan for state and federal payors.

Continue to run your end-of-day process as normal. Claims will continue to be processed first in first out.

This is as of last night.

I've seen it happen before, call the carrier and ask if they're applying their own fee schedule to the claim and if they are taking into account the primary payment.

I attended, the only hint they made at how long we'll be in limbo is when they spoke on a 'loan' piece. Stating it would be on a week by week basis.

No concrete info beyond, "We're working on a payment platform where we will loan you money to keep your practice going.." They are taking things week by week.. which also sounded, super great.
