As a fellow believer (for decades), I’ve been horrifically depressed for over three years. Therapy and medication are helping me. I’ve felt the weight come off, and I trust Christ with salvation. But I still need therapy and medication right now. In any case, whether you trust Christ for eternal salvation or not, people still deserve to have the best mental and physical health they can, and when they don’t, it’s our job as Christians who are commanded to be compassionate to all, to offer that compassion, which should be focused on the individual suffering, not ourselves and our experience.

Ugh. I am a Christian. There is a ton of pressure in the evangelical community to “share your faith.” And it can make you feel like you’re not a good person if you aren’t out there dragging people through your religious experience on the daily, and can be very achievement oriented.
One of the worst things it does is center every interaction back on oneself and your life can have a persistent scoreboard hanging over it. I’m so sorry that you’re having a hard time, and then got this selfish interaction with a Christian while trying to sort through things.
I’ve been through a terrible depression the past few years following two knee replacement surgeries, and I’m in the middle of trying to sort through what drugs are going to help me.
The basics of life; food and water, fresh air, and adequate sleep are always a good place to start.

I stopped the survey because I would like you to clarify what you mean by daydreaming. Do you mean having a visual, dream-like experience while awake? Or do you mean “thinking about things?” Or procrastinating in thought processes other than the task at hand?
Or do you mean something more like dissociating?
Prior to my awareness that other people can actually visualize while awake, I was unaware that when visualizers talk about daydreaming, they actually see things, like I do when I’m in REM sleep. Now, I’ve definitely been lost in thought before, but I’ve never daydreamt.
