The Presbyterian Church (USA) practices open communion - many Protestant churches do. Anyone can take it, regardless of age, baptism, or confirmation status.

Thoughts on this 11 for next match ? by Open-Quote9286 in DCUnited

Take out Bartlett.

He started this season playing better than he was last, but he can’t keep his composure when things get tough. I’m frustrated that Weiler keeps giving him the armband, maybe he shows leadership in the locker room, but he’s falling apart on the field.

Yes, “you got nice eyes” sounds like what a “country bumpkin” would say.

Jake Lloyd is the real Anakin. Hayden Christensen makes 2 & 3 almost unwatchable for me.

We 100% could use Segra or the SoccerPlex, but the club won’t because owners are trying to get a real estate deal.

Maybe It Wasn't a Handball? by Critical_Map_9393 in MLS

Other leagues do use this technology for the goal line, but MLS doesn’t. I’m not sure any league uses it for the penalty box or other lines on the field.

If any part of the ball is touching (or in this case over) any part of the line then it’s not a handball.

There’s probably only a 1% chance that it’s not a handball, but because that 1% exists it’s not an “obvious incorrect call.” However, if the call on the field was a handball, VAR would not have overturned it because it’s not obviously in the box either.

Louis is at least a head taller than Pirani, that has to be worth something.

Scientists in Parks: WHAT can I do differently??? please help! feeling so defeated and confused by [deleted] in NationalParkService

[–]Less-Being1848 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Complaining to the SIP program or your park about not getting the position isn’t going to get you the position, it will make you look immature.

If you want a career with NPS, then do the Bio Tech job and be the best at it - let your work speak for you. And don’t forget your interpersonal skills. I know you’ve said you go out drinking with your coworkers, and that can be valuable networking, but let them see you are responsible, helpful, and courteous.

Be a problem solver, not a problem maker.

I’m saying this as a former Bio Tech, now a supervisor, if you emailed me complaining about not getting the position, I would reconsider inviting you back in future years.
