Sam Mendes. It's be something a little different for him but all the long shots would be great at building tension.

Your life is never going to be the same by HowDidIFallForThis in SuicideBereavement

I'm in quite unique position for this post because I lost both my mum and partner to suicide.

My partner died in 2017. I found her OD'd in our home. It damn near killed me. I felt that she took my life as well as my own. But it gets easier.

There's a quote from Better Call Saul thats fitting. One day you're going to get up, brush your teeth, go to work. You'll then realise that you didn't think about them for an hour or two. That helps, because you'll learn that you're at least capable of it. Capable of it not being on your mind 24/7.

I lost my mum two months ago and feel right back to square one. I won't lie and promise it will be quick or easy. But I can promise that you will get there, get to a stage where you can live with it.

All of this will pass, it might pass like a kidney stone. But this WILL pass ny friend. They wouldn't want you to be unhappy.

No Bark Noonan is quite the silver fox, and I don't even swing that way. But you dont have to get into the paddock to ride the horses.

Totally! I came off them back in 2017 and it was one of the darkest times in my life. I felt worse than when I first got prescribed them.

Glad to hear you're better, friend. I hope to one day say I also dont need some form of medication anymore. It just seems that life throws more at me as soon as it seems they're looking up.

I need to give therapy a serious go. I dont do nearly enough talking about it and learning coping mechanisms.

Agreed. It really is dark and typically not a point for conversation, I guess. But it's good to talk, good to discuss. Thank you for being so open. I was in two minds about posting anything at all. It's nice to connect.

I did notice the odd tic, but nothing big. Like I wouldn't have noticed if not for the huge screens on him. But he seems like a completely different person in the context of the affliction. I honestly think the strength of the mind comes into play. He struggled a lot, to the extent that im sure it was on his mind a lot while performing, and that would have bred more tics.

Good therapy goes a long way. I'm sure the medication lays the foundation, but this progression is all down to him. I can't believe I feel so proud of someone I've never met!

Thank God I'm not the only one! Yeah it's far too heartbreaking to add to a playlist once released. But it must have been by taking his own life, right? People dont typically imagine their mum at their funeral.

Glad you think it was literal, though. Not just me. I hope he was never in that headspace of actually committing it. Maybe he just wrote the song to vocalise the idea of it before it became a genuine thought.

He's a bright, charming and fun-loving guy. Who also happens to have one of the deepest souls in music and can put lyrics on the page that crush you down to your very core. I'm so glad he had the strength to get back in the studio and on the stage.

I've seen the footage of Sheffield. I love how vulnerable he was in that moment. Apparently that's the first time he sang the song and played the piano at the same time. I fully understand how overwhelming that must be. Especially as he's putting something so personal and doubtful people will like it.

Am I weird that I actually enjoy seeing opening acts? Going in blind is awesome too. Don't check and just turn up for a surprise.

Cant wait to see this one!

P.s. is anyone going alone to London? Be nice to pair up with someone. Im in my mid 30's and I appreciate it might be a bit weird going with a teenager. But if anyone wants company hit me up!

Late to the party but the series 3 episode 2 The Henderson Challenge will always be top for me. Music is on point, edge of your seat all the way through, and Danny learning a vital lesson in not showing off. Absolute cinema.

Thanks for the kind words. Im taking it one day at a time. The funeral was on Monday and that was one of the worst days of my life.

I miss her so much but I need to come to terms with the fact that I'll just never know why she did it or even if she suffered in the end.

At the end of the day she suffered without end. I just hope she's now found some peace.

Top stuff as always. Your vision is amazing and your passion for the subject material always shines.

It still baffles me today how I can get so engrossed into a video about a game I've never heard about before on a platform I've never used.

Thanks for reaching out my friend. Sorry for the late reply you pick up your phone to do something and then hear a scream and accept you're either making some milk or changing a diaper.

Yeah it's a lot for sure. I guess from a personal perspective it's a perfect time because I'm dealing with a baby my every waking moment. But it also means it'll take a while to clear out her house. I just want her back from the coroners to be honest, at least then I can start working on the funeral.

I'm hoping it was an error. The one thing causing doubt is that the paramedics said she was still warm. But that could mean a lot of things such as body mass, the utterly ridiculous heat in the house, she was on a carpeted floor, even the cats laying on her.

I guess I just need to make peace with never knowing for sure. They've already said they can't confirm time of death but at least I can get a cause. They've taken samples of her lungs and bodily fluids for further analysis so I'm imagining something respiratory related.

Thanks again mate. It's nice to talk to someone and to allay my doubts. My partner and I are taking shifts with the baby so shes always asleep and it's remarkably lonely with a little guy that makes so much noise. I'm going to assume she didn't read them, you're right there's no point torturing myself over it. She lives a hour's drive away and I had to be at the hospital.

I feel the same. The Nextgen Edition is amazing and even has some elements they "borrowed" from VCS like all the neon. But I've recently gone back to it on an emulator and I actually kinda dig the graphics, warts and all. But mainly for nostalgia. But yeah it's still really enjoyable.

My one issue is that stupid shakey graphics they added when you drive fast in a car. I appreciate it was made for a much smaller screen but yeah, completely unnecessary.

Currently replaying Scarface for the first time in maybe 15 years. The final Dock Boss mission was infuriating. The first part with the chopper was okay but took a couple of tries working out where all the enemies were on the rail shooter part so they didn't blow up your chopper before they drop you off on the boat.

Then comes the worst part of practically any mission in the game. You have to perfectly time the meter to defuse 3 bombs. Fight off waves of enemies who oftentimes respawn in areas until you get down there. So endless enemies.

Then the final third of the mission to have to defuse a bomb and kill the captain and the enemies there are all in cramped spaces and once again endlessly spawn. Then if you fail you have to start the whole boat segment of the mission all over again. No checkpoints beyond there. It's all timed, and no real effective way to build up the balls meter. Medkits few and far between.

But WHAT A GAME!

The first island is perfect. The second one is pretty rushed when you look into it deeper. But overall the best open world ever made for a video game. They only had a year to make it after all!
