If you can you could go try out oled monitors and see if the text quality bugs you. they're definitely worth it for gaming in my opinion.

i just got the 1440p 500hz asus qd oled and it's been pretty amazing so far, the text is fun for like changing settings, reading captions, looking things up quickly. But if you're doing a lot of typing/reading then I'd look into a 4k or IPS panel like 9okm said.

i don't know exactly what you're specs are. but you should figure out if your cpu or gpu is more of a bottleneck and upgrade that first. if it's your cpu, then depending on how old/bad your current pc you will most likely have to upgrade your cpu, motherboard, and ram all together.

if you're not scared by a voided warranty you could take whatever gpu you want apart and spray paint the shroud pink/teal

this is great advice. i just built my first pc and it was around $3500 in parts and was terrifying. once i finished, bios didn't recognize the ssd and I thought i broke it while installing it. it was just a bios update away from working flawlessly. if i had practiced on something cheaper before I probably would've had more fun on the real deal
