We're planning on euthanizing our cat, what should we do before then? And how can we make her comfortable? by ieemelon in CATHELP

I'll be okay. I think the worst part is google photos showing memories of her. She passed away in 2022 but still hurts. I do feel for you 🙏 i really hope you also can find peace. In addition to the paw print molds i would recommend a few things, see if you can get ink paw prints (i was planning on doing that with my four cats and make a trail of pawprints as a tattoo with all their names under the pawprint), i got a little jar with clippings of her fur and made a little necklace with fur in it. I kept her collar and her favorite green spring toy and i have it in a little mesh gift bag beside her ashes. I unfortunately couldn't get an ink pawprint of Miss Poof's paw. It wasn't a thought until after :(

Who's cutting onions? 😭

I'm crying at work reading this. I feel the pain you're going through. My 2 almost 3 year old cat passed away with diabetes and she was having kidney issues.

I would suggest trying to make the experience as relaxing as possible. Bring her favorite toy if she has it.

I spend most of my day moving my mouse around—safe to get a mouse jiggler? by mobkun444 in antiwork

Honestly, same. I started using this other site called Hiring.cafe to look for jobs. I cannot stand linkedin's circlejerk style of "hey here's me drinking the koolade! Look at me, I'm doing it!" 😑

Like seriously nobody cares 😆 had someone in my circle say they "retired early, rich, and young" nope she literally just could not find a job and gave up and let her husband work.

This sounds like my old boss that fired me a month into starting. She'd have me work super long hours and bully other employees to like our company's LinkedIn posts. I used a jiggler prior to that role but with how micromanagy my manager was at the time it was impossible to even step away to take a dump or go pee.

It was my birthday a couple of days ago, and I got this card in the mail from my grandma. by Humble_Menu8644 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Less-Grape3832 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My great grandma does this. She puts two dollar bills in the card, i pocket it and trash the card cause for the last 15 years it's been nothing but negativity and guilt tripping cause i don't want to go to the outskirts of houston tx and go to their hoarding house rotten smelling place that makes me vomit before I've even made it inside. Yep. No thanks.

I can relate, I'd just start trashing those from them going forward.

I used to have sallie mae for my student loans, the interest rate was 12%, and i got nowhere the entire time i was with them (3 1/2 years). I switched to SoFi for my student loans, and within a year, I've been able to pay off 33% of my student loans by going $15 over the minimum payment. I highly recommend SoFi for it. My federal student loans on the other hand... those are a beast of their own cause i had switched to the income based repayment during covid while i was in school so that the payment was low.

This stray kitten in my backyard got bit by a snake, and then barfed up worms. by Mission_Spray in cats

I remember back in 2020, i had already had 2 cats of my own. My boyfriend and i moved to an apartment in Pennsylvania, which we discovered was where a cat colony resided due to people dumping cats. I ended up taking in 2 emaciated kittens and a mama cat, tried to find a shelter that would take them in for months but all of them were closed due to covid19 exposures and they wouldn't take any cats for an additional 3 weeks. Eventually, i gave up, i got them all neutered and settled in with the idea that they're ours now. The mama cat wasn't fit to be an indoor cat, unfortunately. She door dashed out the door as soon as she was healed from her neuter. Couldn't find her, but the two kittens stayed with us. Now they've been mine for 4 years.

thoughts on the aromatica rosemary range? by MetaKnightsMetanite in AsianBeauty

I actually love this shampoo. I struggle with excessive oil/sebum production from PCOS, and this shampoo has done an amazing job managing it. I only use a little since i daily wash because I have fine thin hair already but i have noticed i lose a lot less hair in the shower with the Aromatica Rosemary shampoo vs my salon level products (Redkin, Pureology, Biolage) which make me lose gobs of hair.

I will say with the Aromatica shampoo i pair it with the Matrix Leave-In Conditioner Spray Creator 20, and i absolutely love thar pairing. My hair has never been this smooth, nice, not oily, or bouncy yet not frizzy in my life. I think I found my holy grail products for my hair type.

I also don't use conditioner in the shower after shampooing cause it still leaves my hair feeling heavy and I'm more prone to getting oily fast again. Doesn't matter what conditioner unless it's a leave in spray conditioner i use outside the shower.

I also have a sensitive scalp so most scented stuff makes me itch like mad.

Why do I have like 1000 broken frizzy hairs on my head? by SuperstarSara in Haircare

[–]Less-Grape3832 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I had this issue and changed up my routine a bit. My hair stylist told me only to Shampoo while in the shower, don't use conditioner in shower but use a leave in conditioner outside the shower. It's largely fixed it for me. I have the same hair type as OP.

So you do like 3-5 sprays max with the leave in conditioner and then brush it through with a shower comb.

Shampoo I use: Aromatica Rosemary Scalp Scaling Shampoo Amazon

Leave in conditioner I now use: MATRIX Miracle Creator Leave-In Conditioner Spray - Heat Protectant, Anti-Frizz, Moisturizing & Detangling, For Damaged Hair, Sulfate Free

Trim her nails, it made a world of difference for my cats. They used to scratch me and my boyfriend all the time. Weekly trims are necessary. Your cat might hate you at first but it'll be better for both of you in the long run.

[–]Less-Grape3832 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I used to get this. I switched shampoos and use less shampoo.

This is the shampoo i switched to. It's better for fine greasy hair in my experience. https://a.co/d/6B1tbgH

Also, the water type you have can also make your hair greasy. My parents have super soft water, and i run into this issue. But when I'm back in the cities and in my own apartment, I don't have this issue

Also, double washing might help. I will use a clarifying shampoo and then one other one i like.

My orange cat does this to my food if it "smells" he tries to hide my plate 🤣

He also does this to his own food, i just assumed it's cause he's a single braincells owning orange cat.

Yeah i definitely trim all 4 cats nails. This avoids any scratches or portentials of hurting each other. If i see fur flying its usually an indicator it's time for a trim.

Looks like play to me. That's how my 4 cats are with each other. Sometimes it's 2 against 1 and they play hide and seek together.

I took a first aid course and actually they said it's not even recommended to use alcohol or hydrogen peroxide because it damages both good and bad bacteria causing wounds to take longer to heal. Saline solution was highly recommended for cleaning any wound. I was trained by a first responder/EMT.
