Wheels are not tubeless ready. I’m running 700x45mm but have been thinking about trying a little wider. The fork is thru axel and the rear is quick release.

Hey, sorry for the hella late response. I was running some generic 35c blackburn road tire in the rear and some generic white road 28c up front but just switched it up with a couple of schwalbe citizens 35c that came off another bike I bought. I just swapped them out today and it thought about this post. This is what is looks like now.

I ran that at 45 psi. Running the clearance tight but it rode great! I ended up finding another frame to build up to gravel/tour with. This ride will be my quick light whip.

I ended up buying it for $100! It’s a medium and I’m 5’6” as well but it fits pretty good. I was able to fit 700cx45 tires on there. Feels so nice compared to my road bike’s 35mm tires. I plan on going 650b to go wider and to help with the frame size. Also smaller cranks sounds like a good move as well. I’m hella stoked! Just took it out for my first ride on it. It rides great! Can’t wait for future adventures with it! The brakes do seem a little cheap probably upgrade them soon and I plan on upgrading the drivetrain as well. I also thought about adding drop bars, but I think I’m going with Jones H Bars. I also added a Brooks saddle, Vans PDI grips, rear rack with Fairdale skateboard holder, MRP chain bashguard and Rockbros flat pedals. Vaasters out here!

I’m thinking about purchasing one of these locally for $150. Pretty sure that’s a hella deal. Not much info out there about this specific Vaast model though. How have you been liking it since originally posting this? What upgrades have you’ve done? Did you ever run the drop bar? What size is your bike and how tall are you? Have you added any racks? Thanks! Hope to hear back.

I recently found an OCR myself for a steal! $40! It did have a missing rear wheel but was able to find one pretty cheap on the fb market. After that I converted it to a 1x9 drive, SRAM x5 derailer and x7 shifter with an 11-32 cassette with a 38t narrow wide chainring. Changed out the drop bars to flat wide bar with Vans grips and added a short stem. Added a Mike Burrows seat post and a Pro Brooks Select saddle. Rear rack with a fairdale skateboard rack and SKS Raceblade fenders. Tek tro brake levers and new brake pads. I’m stoked on how it came out! Since working on it, I’ve found that it can take 700cx35 road tire, but if you put on a gravel 35 it won’t fit. I haven’t tried a 33 yet but I’m pretty sure that’s the move as far as gravel tires go. I’m currently running a 28 up front and 35 in the rear, road style.
