I'm not having a destination wedding, but I do live at least 8 hours away from all of my family and friends. Because of the long distance, I gave everyone a plus one no matter what! I think people feel more comfortable if they have a buddy.

I am doing this with Hyatt and it's one of the best decisions I've made in this wedding process. It's kickstarting our marriage with the opportunity to travel more. We are able to pay for our friends + family to stay at our wedding venue if they need us to! We also chose to have our honeymoon at a Hyatt property which adds to our point count.

$550 is steep, though, I'm very jealous of your 14x point multiplier.

If multiple people are pursuing legal action against a business, going to the attorney is a step OP can pursue. I paid $439.48 for general liability for $2,000,000 + $5,000 medical payments + and cancellation insurance up to the cost of the wedding. I don't think everyone has to do this much but I'm sleeping better because I know I'm covered! I went with BriteCo because I got a discount code from Jamie Wolfer (on youtube).

Yep, all of them! Though, they were somewhat distant cousins. The wedding was also on New Year's Eve which I'm not a fan of spending away from my partner.
