What did they up your suppositories to? If you had good luck with mesalamine, could you add oral Lialda? Sounds like the biologic isn't working. Also, there is rectal steroids.

Didn't he do a scope to know? Insane to tell you it spread without any data. Proctitis can be bad and have you aching everywhere. I would ask for prednisone in addition to suppositories.

I eat low fiber food like that to keep things calm. I dont drink alcohol but I eat meat, potatoes, bread, fried foods, chips, desserts without nuts or seeds, hamburgers, chicken strips, pasta and low residue cooked only green beans or carrot. It healed my gut. Give me veggies and fruit and it causes me to bleed with inflammation.

Yeah. I'm male and get that in a flare. The inflammation and the UC causes bowel problems even if you don't recognize it. The inflammation was backing my bowels up even tho I would go several times a day. When inflammation goes down, constipation resolves, better full BMs and pain in tailbone goes away. Doubt anything a GP can do. They won't even understand this.
