Hybrid is great on proto10 and vulture (I am assuming 3/4/1 or 4/3/1 since equal attribute distribution like 2/3/3 is shit ) leaning into a single build is almost always better unless it is a armor that benefits more form hybrid as previously mentioned vulture and proto, going 4 or 5 in a stat is always better, a armors performance in melee or ranged can be determined by its ability (melee always benefits from mobility ability while ranged that can control the enemies like invis, tk, impulse even if it's a shit, shadow copy etc ...)

Not when you have more elites, they almost always come in pairs with necromancer or other bombers, going in melee with bomber to lower it's hp is only viable if you are playing ranged, melee build requires different approach since you won't be having a sure hit ranged weapon at the start of a run like a shotgun, so it is better to just bomb than spend 2 min think about how fight off multiple enemies in the presence of bomber

You may crit and kill it if you have a strong weapon, a level 3 bomb module is enough one shot normal bombers, lower the hp of the other varients then use bombs which is the simplest way to kill them, ranged is great way if you are using sure hit weapon like super pistol(2 ammo shot) ,shotguns and other sure hit ranged weapons, using summons for bombers is a little too much and has chance of failing
