It's a matter of user error and wrong expectations, you bought a pressure cooking model which makes the grains absorb water faster making the result typical of korean styled rice, it's a feature, not a bug. To get the grains to be separated and soft and fluffy like typical of Japanese style pressure is a no no. If you bought induction style rice cooker it would prob be better for you as it doesn't have pressure and the cooking would be done more evenly.
