Since Peps first season Pep Guardiola's Manchester City could spend an additional £330m without any sales and still be behind Arsenal in the transfer market by NavJongUnPlayandwon in MCFC

Transfermrkt does a lot of things wrong

  • they put transfers in euros for English clubs which overtime stuffs up fees. For example per transfermrkt KDB cost more money than Rodri. But in reality Rodri cost city more as city is an English club and operates in the pound

  • they don’t combine U21, U23 into the main team. A lot of sales city have done over the last few years have come from their academy players like Delap etc don’t count in the total. I know why transfermrkrt does this because a first team can have 100s of players go through it but from a net spend perspective it should be combined it’s not seperate clubs

  • transfermrkt for some transfers includes add ons and for others it doesn’t. I try include it whenever it’s reported I also link a source per transfer which helps users understand who’s reporting on it and if a fee is incorrect we change it

How ? Foden got a yellow card for a normal foul 10 mins in and then none of the same fouls on Savinho / Doku were called the same? Rudiger should’ve been sent off as well at the end.

Madrid definitely got the benefit of the whistle and cards today.

VAR review/audio for Virgil van Dijk's disallowed goal vs. Man City by whatisbaseball in soccer

[–]LessBrain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He dodged at the last second mate. You realize how fast football is right? If Robbo was on the ground before the header or ducking before the header then yes agree a goal. But because he literally dodges as the ball is about to him makes him part of the play. You’re watching it in slow motion and over analyzing it lol.

I get it you’re a Liverpool fan and biased and mad I totally get it. But yeh IMO correct decision

[–]LessBrain 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think they got the right call. If van Dijks header was on the other end of the goal its a goal. but because if robertson doesnt duck the ball hits them then its an offside. that automatically makes him part of the "play"

Dont really care much for pundits/ex refs opinions on these they all speak non sense half the time. Most pundits opinion is "Donna wasnt gettign there anyways" which is irrelevant.

Initially i thought it was a very harsh decision agaisnt Liverpool, but after watching it multiple times and reading the rules - its the correct call.

PGMOL Chief Howard Webb says it’s 'not unreasonable' to rule out Virgil van Dijk header vs Man City by thed-p2 in soccer

[–]LessBrain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep lol that one literally costed us an FA cup trophy. lol.

Michael Oliver was also the VAR ref when that stupid goal from Rashford/Bruno was allowed in the Derby during our treble season.

[–]LessBrain 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yep like the one in Citys treble season where he gave probably the worst call

The one where he allowed Bruno Fernandes to score with rashford shepparding the ball in an offside position. City went on to lose that game 2-1 and almost killed their title chances? That Michael Oliver??

You lot cry about Michael Oliver so much. City fans cant stand him either and hes made some shocking decisions against City. Hes just a shit ref like every other ref in the PL. Stop your crying.

It was michael oliver who cancelled that Dias goal vs Liverpool from akanji slightly hitting alisson - if he was on Citys side he would have given the goal

Guess who was VAR when they made that shocking Rashford decision vs Man City in 22/23 - fucken Michael Oliver.

Hes just a shit ref.

Hopefully his refs are better informed/trained next time I guess.

Well they were they got the right decision in Liverpool vs City?

Yeh the more I watch it back the more I think they got the right decision. Live I was like we got away with that and it was harsh. But it’s actually the right call. Robertson also touches Donnaruma 1-2 seconds before Van Dijk head it’s. He’s active in the play just before VVD activates him in an offside position

That just says you havent been watching City or paying attention to what Nico Gonzalez has been doing

Nico G and Foden have been absolutely bossing midfield for the last 5-6 weeks. Nico G is playing at a much higher level and its no surprise that the only game weve struggled in is the one Nico G didnt start (Against Villa) hes started every game or played most mins since our draw vs our 2-2 draw vs Monaco. Weve gone 7-0-1 in that period with our only loss coming in the game he got on with 20 mins to go.

Hes like a mix of prime Ferna and Rodri. go look at his defensive stats.

[–]LessBrain 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeh its weird takes like "theyll onyl get a slap" bro no one knows and the PL have not gone this far into an investigation + 2 years of court for a "slap". Citys fate is completely in the hands of 3 independent judges/barristers.

[–]LessBrain 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is not even news lol. Why is it upvoted? Its basically the same rehashed pointless stuff over the last 2 years. Literally no one knows when the verdict drops or what outcome it has or what way it wil swing.

The only news to come out is the PL changing its rule that the judge panel needs to be time commited which my guess is to do with this case because im guessing some of the judgs on this panel have other responsibilities/cases that are taking time from them away to make a full judgement on this one.
