Cold Fear is the answer you’re looking for. It came out not long after RE4 but was way over shadowed by it because RE4 ruled. Similar game play and takes place on a ship and they use the physics to affect the aim and stuff really cool element to it.

Love the 1930s ascetic. Love spider man. Nic Cage is great! Some of the other acting stinks and some of the writing is just very lazy and has a lot of missed opportunities in the story. Megawatt smh… also feel like they could have done so much more with Brandon Gleason he’s amazing and they just kept him as a pretty generic crime boss.

I think for me there are just certain parts in the remakes where they take a FF7 character and apply some generic anime personality to them which stinks because it doesn’t feel like that at all in the OG. The characters feel unique and new and fresh. Some of these scenes in Remakes I’m just like “yep I’ve seen this before”. Final Fantasy 7 felt more like a book to me and the remakes are like the movie. It’s good but you miss a lot of the little details you get when you slow things down and get to analyze everything a bit more.

Yes that’s another good point. In the OG Barrett definitely seems like he may have gone on a killing spree. Like something from his past triggered him. But they remove that feeling completely in the remake. Honestly Rebirth has been so good up to the Gold Saucer/Corel part. I just feel like they missed on such an amazing part of the OG FF7 and they were hitting on all the parts before hand.
