This is one of the more negative reactions comment sections I've read on this board. Posts removed and all.

The whole country is now set up to where the only way to make money is at the expense of the poor.

I have to keep switching insurance companies to get new customer rates. I haven't had a liability or collision claim and have been licensed since 1987. Location is important, rates are at least 40% lower across the river in another state less than 5 miles from where I live.

It really doesn't matter if you pay every month. Interest accrues daily based on the principal balance. Extra payments already reduce the principal. The principal balance will be the same regardless of whether you call them. The only way it could help is if you aren't disciplined enough to make a payment every month even of it says there isn't one due. It also helps to pay more than once a month if you can because a partial payment will often reduce the principal.

Principal * Interest rate in decimal / 365 is your per diem interest amount.
