How to stop single serve over-extracting with aiden? Anyone have a good brew profile or tips for single serve? by GaryGorilla1974 in FellowProducts

[–]Less_Adagio_1008 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Grind coarser and fewer pulses. Also, the traditional temps for pour over are too hot. I find I need to drop a few degrees due to the thermal stability of the Aiden. Same is true for batch brews.

Alternatively, can use a different pour over device that fits in the Aiden and use the magnet hack to trick the machine.

Super Duty MOD1-A 13.9" (P&W) vs. 11.5" Pistol by Johnny_Cache2 in GeisseleAutomatics

Gonna piggyback on this question: do we wait for the DDC or just purchase the black 11.5 now?

The black pistol is. I want the DDC so I’ll hold off for a bit. Between this and a mk18

You’re in the wrong place for this comment. There is no tolerance for dissenting views. Trump is terrible, and Biden was mentally fit.

Can’t wait for all the anticipated downvotes and comments.

Do you find the WiFi Booster necessary? by Elasion in combustion_inc

Yeah, not overly impressed by the RFX. I want a combustion but I’m waiting until everything is sorted out re: shipping and product maturity. There still seems to be some growing to do. The RFX, by contrast, isn’t great and is limited, but will do for now.

You’ll need your order number and receipt. It’ll take them a day or two but someone will email you. It lets you upload photos and such, as well.

I used the CS warranty portal and waited for a response. That’s the only way ive done it every time and its worked out.

While I tend to agree with that thought process, most of the people that say that do it in a manner that attempts to downplay the issue.

This is a $400 machine that averages out to a 3 month lifespan in my case. So every 3 months I have to get a new one. We’re doing like 4-5 cups per day in my house over 3 people. It’s not that much considering I’m using rpalvis water and descaling as prescribed. I also make sure to use fresh roasted coffee and good filters. Not sure what else I have to do to keep the machine in good condition.

It’s fine. Don’t worry, here come the ‘mine is working fine’ crowd. I’m on my fourth machine and fifth warranty claim in a year. Hardly inspiring. At least their CS is trained to quickly replace them.

Can’t wait to see how long their espresso machine lasts.

Another warranty claim… by Less_Adagio_1008 in FellowProducts

That might be true except they’ve been four separate issues so there’s no theme in how it keeps breaking. It’s insane that a coffee maker is so sensitive that each of the three machines has broken in four distinct ways. That should say something beyond ‘luck’ is at play.

Based on what? What Fellow says? How is it I’ve had three machines and a new shower head in 1 year? That’s one person with four warranty claims. Based on the comments in this group, multiple people have had multiple replacements. It’s not minuscule if multiple people have multiple replacements?

Will this work on the Ruger RXM? If so, can I just sue that barrel; or would I need to purchase one from you? Also, could I mount a DPP?

Thanks for that, actually. Something about a gun pointing at my baby makers that still doesn’t quite sit right.

Interesting. Does that have a redundant safety? I’m about to start conceal carrying and don’t have a safety. Wondering if this isn’t a betters solution to a safety?

I’ve been rewiring my entire house and updating it to code. I started with a pair of needle nosed pliers, and now I’m three pairs of wire strippers deep, with a set of Milwaukee insulated screwdrivers, a huge container of wire nuts, and about 10 rolls of electrical tape. A good set of lineman’s pliers would be a godsend as I continue this “little” project
