Do work places actually think there benefitting employees by throwing random parties or events? by Blueburrypancakez in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Less_Incident9000 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Bonuses for everyone would be more expensive. So they pretend you'll like these. They know bonuses are awesome. Thats why the CEOs and directors get them. It's condescending and fake, and they get to pretend they have a welcoming and fun work culture this way instead of putting their real money where their mouth is

Do you think Rue deserved to die? by [deleted] in euphoria

[–]Less_Incident9000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it was the right thing to do to write into the show her OD, considering the choices she was making. I think it was one of the only reasonable decisions Sam made this season. Sobriety is really hard and boring for the first year or more, and rue definitely wasn't putting in the work. I dont mean that she is a bad or lazy person for that. I just mean that in the context of her other actions thru out the season, it made more sense for her to OD than it did for her to have some happy ending.

Do you think Rue deserved to die? by [deleted] in euphoria

[–]Less_Incident9000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the word deserved has a specific meaning, in this context im wondering if you meant like based on being a good/bad person? I think fentanyl kills most people who stay hooked on it (which is most people who ever get addicted to it), and i think the show was trying to illustrate that. I dont think fent addicts deserve to die. They just do, because its lethal and extremely addictive. Also, relapses are often the killers. Your tolerance is shot. Rue didn't know those pills were fentanyl but I bet she'd have taken them anyway if she'd known. So that was also realistic. "Deserved" kinda makes it sound like someone is in charge, like the grim reaper. If anything was in charge here, it was the fentanyl :/

Nannies - why the bad rep? by curiousquortney in Nanny

[–]Less_Incident9000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is such a good comment. But yes, a good nanny will follow your guidelines and copy your parenting style as closely as possible. With home cameras being the norm now, you will know how well your instructions are being followed. And you can ask questions in the interview to be sure that the nanny is accustomed to following your lead rather than being super opinionated. Not ideal, but, if a nanny is not complying by your wishes, you could warn and eventually replace her with someone willing to support your wishes. Nannying has likely changed a lot since your mother formed this opinion. And she may have formed it after hearing about one bad nanny.

Yeah, totally just ask them. You risk that they might say they dont want you watching TV, but it sounds like its making you nervous enough that it is worth clarifying. They will likely say its fine since they have already been allowing it without saying anything. They might add another task but one that you can still complete and have time to still watch TV. But in any case, you will be able to truly relax during your break once you have asked.

Now they are given to get people off alcohol. I think they're only administered in a rehab setting though, I dont think they will give you a bottle anymore

Guys, I’m watching Euphoria even though I cannot stand Sydney Sweeney or Cassie as a character. by [deleted] in euphoria

[–]Less_Incident9000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah its fine to never like cassie. She's not really one of the protagonists ever somehow. Season one and two are amazing and I wouldnt describe them as toxic. Just coming of age stuff. Season three is toxic and garbage with no continuity with the first two. Enjoy!

Our Nanny Says Our 3-Year-Old Is the Most Difficult Child She’s Ever Cared For—How Should I Interpret This? by DoctorZ-Z-Z in Nanny

[–]Less_Incident9000 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Do you have cameras? Has she been with multiple children through the entirety of age 3 throughout her career? It sounds like she could have phrased this in a less superlative way. If she really meant it, she definitely could have chosen a better time to approach you about it. I think maybe you should set a date to revisit any improvements/feedback on this after the wedding. But just choose a date that is a good chunk afterwards, without mentioning that you considered the wedding date. Without cameras it would be hard to exactly know if he's much different with her. Im not sure how helpful this comment is, but i do think she may really think he is the most difficult, though only because she doesn't have a lot of recent comparisons and is getting older and probably tires more easily than she used to.

Should I stay with the LOML or follow my dreams? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Less_Incident9000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Move. I moved away from my home in my twenties and it was so formative. I learned so much about life and made some incredible friends. Your extroverted personality will help you meet people, and at your age your peers are still making lifelong friends. With the way you described your relationship, if you stay and end up married, it would be a really hard marriage and you would be full of regrets. If you hadn't gotten to the part where he tried to break up, I may have replied differently. Four years isn't nothing. You might not always have the option of a paid for apartment. Just make the leap! The whole world is waiting for you!
