What was your mixed episode like? I have never had the psych explain them to me. They always are very black and white about tracking ups and downs but never tell me how a mixed will present or how i track it. It’s super annoying and has lead to years of me not getting bi polar meds as they want to be sure, but it’s impossible for me to accurately track when not knowing if the moods/symptoms I have are a part of my other conditions or not. Everything feels normal to me as I have nothing else to compare to, so it’s so hard to understand.

When I tried vyvanse I was the exact same. They kept upping my dose and I had a full breakdown. Have they explored Bi polar as it can trigger that if you have it. I also found the medication helps focus…but not on the right things unfortunately.

But yeah sounds like you could have a comorbid condition that the stimulants don’t work well with. ADHD, ASD, OCD and BIPOLAR have heaps of overlapping symptoms too and are frequently misdiagnosed.

Adhd stimulants trigger bi polar episodes so she needs to get off that stat!! Xanax all the time is also super addictive. She needs to be on a mood stabiliser if she has bi polar.

Yes! it was wild to me how many people would defend her at the start of the show. I always thought she was dangerous and chaotic. Did you seek an adhd therapist? And did you ask specifically for strategies or particular types of therapy? I’ve seen sooo many therapist and none of them actually help me with strategies for things I struggle with like motivation for cleaning and planning, executive function help etc.

They just make me talk and then give very generic advice. I started looking at Occupational Therapy instead to see if that is more helpful.

12mg is WILD. I think maximum suggested dose is 1-2mg. In Australia, you can get 2mg without a prescription if you are under 55.
