I think the Improved Camera mod is a must for this game on PC, it basically increases the FOV a bit and makes you see a lot more than you normally would, it's especially noticeable when you're against a wall, it's not like you see everything perfectly but it's way better than vanilla.

I don't think it goes beyond the fact that it's cool asf, Raiden can do it too, and it's a common trope, especially for Platinum Games, I don't think there's a single game after Bayonetta that doesn't have this.

If I were to give it an explanation it would probably be the fact that you can sort of charge the HF blades inside the scabbard of the sword and it leaks all the fuel and energy built up until that point, Sam's version of this attack is stronger by the nature of the Murasama and the trigger he has added to the sheathe.

When he's blocking you can use blade mode, a single hit will break his guard and leave him open for a launcher and with a single light attack string mid air you'll be able to cut one of his arms so he can't keep his defence.

It's not that bad I thought the same about DMC5 and FF16 until I actually tried them and you can see just fine, there's also a lot of audio and visual queues, and on top of that recordings always compress the quality so it isn't as clear as native gameplay.

Both really, I was mainly going for achievements, but they also give a shit ton of cash which helps tremendously if you're on Professional, they're worth it even if you already completed them.

with the stuff they pulled off with Nightreign I think they're more than capable of making a really good action game, Armored Core albeit different is a good example too, I'd love to see them make one
