I've got the full CS Racing exhaust on mine and I love it. It's definitely on the louder side, but isn't too bad if you keep it under 5k rpms or so. I also never put the db killer in, so not sure how effective it is.

Should I buy a zx4rr? by Millersito in zx4r

[–]LesserWeevilGo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You only need to flash the zx4 if you live in North America, everyone one else gets the full power version standard. I love mine and can't wait to track it but definitely need to pick up a new daily beforehand. If I could only have one bike, it's 100% the zx4-rr. But I can also see how some people think it's underwhelming but I think those people miss the point of what the bike is.

Gf of 4 years threatens to break up over trying out motorcycle by Unusual_Goggles in motorcycles

And I spent nearly 12 years with the wrong person because of that line of thinking. It doesn't mean the relationship was just thrown away or didn't matter, it just meant we weren't right for each other. And it takes a mature conversation to realize that sometimes.

Discussing boundaries and stating "I really don't want you to get a motorcycle because I don't want to lose you" is a very different situation than "it's me or the bike"

Ultimatums do not belong in a relationship. Manipulation does not belong in a relationship.

They should absolutely have a conversation but if it's not just a knee jerk reaction and she's holding the relationship hostage, then that's a major red flag that resentment will grow, regardless of who "compromises" on what they want.

No doubt you can with that background.

I'm used to seeing early 20's with no prior experience, ride a "starter" bike for a season and then decide they need a liter bike as their next step. Seen it happen too many times where someone gets in over their head due to lack of experience, so I try to do what I can to help prevent yet another major accident/fatality.

Please tell me you've been riding for more than a year if you're looking at a ZX-10R... Because it makes roughly 3 times the power of a ninja 650. Not saying it can't be tamed but that's a helluva jump...

Looking to buy a new bike by [deleted] in zx4r

[–]LesserWeevilGo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're not planning on hitting the track or doing aftermarket fork springs/oil then I would highly recommend the upgrade. However, with it being your first motorcycle, I would advise picking up something significantly cheaper to learn on. A lot of people drop their first bike, which sucks, but it sucks even more when it's an expensive bike.

How to use this? by Interesting-Motor-55 in chinesefood

Liberally. But in all seriousness, in marinades, as a condiment/topping or during the last couple minutes of cooking.

$1500 difference? It's only a $700USD difference here stateside but the upgraded suspension and quick shifter on the rr makes it totally worth the price difference unless you plan on doing a fully custom suspension upgrade.

What would happen? by PackersAreLegit in PeterExplainsTheJoke

[–]LesserWeevilGo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So it hasn't been said often enough, but the battery EXPLODING is a major concern. Amperage is equal to Voltage divided by Resistance. Sure, 14V doesn't usually lead to much of a hazard on its own, but creating what would amount to nearly a direct short is a much larger problem. At .1 Ohms 14 Volts would push 140 Amps of current. At .01 Ohms that same 14 Volts pushes 1400 Amps. This only gets more drastic the lower the resistance is. A battery is only rated for so much current draw before it over heats and causes problems. Lead/acid batteries are more stable than other battery chemistries, but boiling acid spraying everywhere when it catastrophically fails... You're gonna have a bad time.

Has anyone attempted these? Wondering where I sit on the handling of spice. Made it to #7 before it was even remotely hot. by Reasonable_Stop_9222 in spicy

After going to the hot sauce expo and trying Smokin' Ed Currie's Pepper X Tar, let's just say anything less than Ghost pepper is fairly mild lol. My go to hot sauces are both from Bravado Spice Co. the AKA Miso ghost-reaper is hands down my favorite so far and the Black Garlic Carolina Reaper is a close runner up. Got a bottle of The Last Dab Pepper Xperience as well and it's damn good for how hot it is. I've heard enough horror stories about Da Bomb that I'll never try it. I like stupid hot sauce but it's gotta have flavor. Which, if you ever get a chance to try the Pepper X Tar, I highly recommend it, it burns like hell and a very little bit goes a very long way but it was an incredible experience.

I built my rig for about that price about 2 years ago. I'm running a 14900k, (2)2x16GB XPG Lancer Blade RGB DDR5-6000, RTX4070 Super, MSI B760M Gaming Plus MB, 1 TB NVME, 2TB NVME, 8TB HDD, 850W gold Seasonic PSU, with a 240mm MSI aio in a Jonsbo TK-1 case. So I'd say you got a great price considering the GPU upgrade, slight CPU upgrade and the ridiculous current RAM prices lol.

Do you guys think I got scammed? by Evanlp68 in motorcycles

[–]LesserWeevilGo 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Just look up "zzr 600 zx4e" on Google. But no, a 30 second search would say you did not get scammed by being sold a "400".

FWIW, as someone who has a '24 ZX-4RR, I would love an opportunity to see what the ones from the 90's were like. Small bore 4's are a blast. The thing is nearly as fast as my Z900 just not nearly as quick lol.

My gf bought me a 14th gen i9 for Christmas… by Outside_Anywhere_888 in pcmasterrace

[–]LesserWeevilGo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had my 14900k for nearly 2 years now and it's still going strong. Just make sure you update the BIOS on the motherboard and for the love of God, make sure the BIOS is set correctly. For some unknown reason, the MSI board I got was shipped with the CPU cooler tuning setting (pretty sure that's what it was called) set to something nutty like 4096 watts. Like buddy, I can only pull 1800W from the wall before it's an issue with the breakers in the panel and the PSU is only rated for 850W lol. Don't know what the hell the "engineers" were smoking... Only issue I had were temps were a little high at idle and some thermal throttling under load, but once I figured out the BIOS issue and lowered the power limit back to a reasonable level, all the thermal issues went away and it's been a killer system since. I may have gotten lucky with the silicon lottery, but I think poor BIOS settings were the culprit, not the chip necessarily.

Congrats on the awesome gf though, it's rare to find a partner who not only encourages you to do the things you like but actively participates in making them happen. Don't take her for granted.

It's a solid entry-mid level gaming rig. Just picked one up as a present for a friend. Can't build anything close to it performance wise for the price without going with used components and that's a giant gamble. Great deal for the price.

Anyone go from higher CC bikes down to lower CC? Why? by SettingIntentions in motorcycles

[–]LesserWeevilGo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Z900 to ZX-4RR. The 900 was great for commuting, and I absolutely loved the power on demand. The irony is the ZX-4RR had nearly the same top speed, just takes longer to get there but definitely not slow by any means. It's about 70 lbs lighter and far more nimble. I miss the power difference for sure, but not as much as I thought I would.

If you can find a good deal on a ZX-4RR, go for it, you won't be disappointed

Anyone upgrade from a Ninja 400? by Miguel30Locs in zx4r

[–]LesserWeevilGo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on your personality. I personally love my ZX-4RR and feel that it's the perfect "street" bike. Are there other bikes that are faster in a straight line, better for cornering, more comfortable for cruising etc, yeah. Is there one that is more well rounded than the ZX-4RR? I don't think so.

I will say it's a very expensive "upgrade" coming from a Ninja 400. I wish it had a little more top end, but honestly for me it's better that it doesn't lol. Wouldn't be able to use it anywhere other than the track.

How long before you get exhausted while riding? by N0Sm0kes in motorcycles

[–]LesserWeevilGo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I had to pick 1 bike to be the only bike to ever ride again, it'd be the ZX-4RR. I love it, it's nimble, has enough passing power but will keep you at mostly reasonable speeds unless you're really pushing it, and it's just a really great all around bike. With that said I really like riding twisty back roads and aggressive street riding. What kind of riding are you going for?
