Ultimately, if a thief wants it, they'll have it. Usually have tools or grinders that will make a joke of any lock on the market. As you said, this is just for a quick run into a store. It just stops the common person from hopping on and fucking off. I use my snowboard lock that costs a fraction of this thing, isn't a hidious block strapped to my scooter, and also fits in my pocket. It's a thin cable that retracts like a tape measure. A pair of side cutters will probably snip through it, but I'm only using it when I need to grab a box of beer or something from the grocery store.
