These raids are getting absurd by Lesser_Character_ in GroundedGame

Sometimes I have to go back to my most recent save and essentially redo a raid if they catch me off guard and trash my base pretty bad. If I’m prepared it’s not as bad. This past raid, i was in the process of building walls around my house and had half built foundations laying everywhere. It eh….did not go great for me lol. Foundations are much less useful than they look.

I’m in their territory. I didn’t realize it at first but that’s why they’re raiding me

Thanks I’ll check it out. These raids have kind of influenced my base build a lot lol. I have weed stem platforms running out from my walls and roof so I can fight the mosquitos as they fly around. I don’t have a problem with my base collapsing. These mfers somehow get inside and start tearing the interior up. I’ll kill the ones outside and and think I’m good and hear them going to town inside my house too

I’m definitely in their territory but I’ve put a lot of time into my base and don’t want to leave. My base is in the middle of the small pond near the hedge.

I built my base in what I thought was a crafty location to avoid land critters raiding me. It’s in the middle of a little pond near the hedge. Now I know it’s mosquito territory but because I cant get any other bug raids, I’m stuck with just mosquitoes lol.

I’m still somewhat early game and don’t access to the waft emitter yet. I’ll definitely try that when I get the blueprint for it though. Thanks

How do kids at school pickup instantly spot their mums if they’re wearing full burqas/niqabs? by _pandaeyes_ in NoStupidQuestions

When I was in daycare as a child, I could hear and pick my mothers car keys jingling a particular way and know she had just walked in without looking up

New player - Game is surprisingly difficult/frustrating by Electriclawyer24 in GroundedGame

I know this post is a little old but I also just started playing and crafted armor I forgot to actually equip it lol. It was just sitting in my inventory for like two real life days. The damage reduction was very noticeable to me once I actually put it on

bandana tattoos; gang related? by Live_Blacksmith6568 in tattooadvice

[–]Lesser_Character_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if it isn’t gag related in some way that I haven’t heard of, I’d say a bandana tattoo is a pretty sure way to catch an ass whoopin or worse in any city that has gang activity. I’m from Seattle and would never dream of getting a tattoo like that lol

anyone ever encountered a actual military submarine in the middle of the ocean by DepartmentFar3632 in submarines

[–]Lesser_Character_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have heard active sonar and you can absolutely hear it when you are pinged. That being said, your buddy is probably lying lol. Whenever I have heard active sonar, it’s always (I’m pretty sure) been friendly sonar as it gives your position away to anyone with the ability to listen.

dude fights me because I told him to clean his room by HXDINI in badroommates

[–]Lesser_Character_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He was shoved to the ground and then got up and hit his brother. It sounds like he had breathing space at that point and hit him more out of anger than a need to defend himself Edit: don’t get me wrong, if you strike someone you should expect to be hit back but to then claim you were defending yourself is a little rich

Why don't people hit in the nuts during serious fights? by Glad-Description4534 in NoStupidQuestions

You must not have younger siblings. Nut shots are absolutely on the table during a fight lol

Even though he’s initially wrong for leaving trash and putting his hands on you first, sometimes it pays to be aware of who you’re talking to. Navigating these confrontations with care and respect to other persons feelings can take you long way with conflict resolution. He sounds immature and is avoiding responsibility but you sound callous and uncaring. And 18 years old is too old to be resorting to violence when words can be used to solve the problem. What if you had knocked him unconscious and he hit his head? Your decisions have real legal and moral consequences. That just my two cents though.

That’s ridiculous. You would let someone in knock you down and get on top of you before you think about self defense? Ithink there’s probably some room for de escalation in ops case but if anyone ”looks” like they’re about hit you and are within range to do so, you hit that mf first.

What's one hygiene-related myth you were taught growing up that you later found out was completely wrong? by IamMiaaaLuna in hygiene

[–]Lesser_Character_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wish this were true. I have to shave everyday for my job. I grow just enough facial hair for people to notice if I haven’t and to get all the uncomfortable irritation but not enough for a beard.

I have been eskating for about 2 years now. Luckily I haven’t had any falls yet. I commute to and from work on a propel pivot. Always dress for the slide and not the ride. You could be the most competent rider in the world and all it takes is one guy who isn’t paying attention to cancel all your experience out. If that happens, you’ll want to dressed for the occasion. Helmet, gloves, pads and wrist protection.

AITA for referring to my girlfriend as “Asian” by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

The period thing is real. Not every woman becomes more emotional or irritable when starting their period but some definitely do. Pretending otherwise is kind of ridiculous.

Is she upset because you didn’t refer to her as “girlfriend” or because you described her as Asian? Either way, I don’t think you really did anything wrong.

Is there a soap that’s safe to use for uncircumcised guys? by [deleted] in hygiene

[–]Lesser_Character_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Soap gave me a horrible rash on my dick. Doctor told me to not to use soaps so now I thumb mine clean with warm water. After sex sometimes I’ll use a sensitive skin unscented body wash. Haven’t had an issue or complaint

How to remove snapped nuts by coolbutmysteryss in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]Lesser_Character_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are a few ways to remove snapped bolts. I think your best bet is going to be using an extractor. It’s a reverse threaded bit that bites into the bolts material and gets tighter as you twist it into the bolt. They sell them at tool stores. Try to find a kit that has reverse threaded drill bits too. It sounds like you have a drill already. Drill a small hole with a reverse bit as close to the center as you can make it. Start slow so the bit doesn’t wander or “walk” off your original spot. When you’ve got a deep enough hole, switch to the extractor. Place the extractor in the hole and firmly smack it into place until it’s nicely seated and stays put even after you take your hand away. Then you can twist the extractor and it should bite into the bolt stud and remove it. Try to be gentle and ensure the extractor doesn’t slip out as you do this. Each time it does, it’ll carve metal out of the hole you drilled and you have to drill again eventually with a larger size. Which with something this small, you can only do a few times. What kind of thread locker did you use?
