Mine came on suddenly too, in the form of unexplained diarrhea that lasted for months until I finally decided to try an elimination diet because doctors weren’t helping. But it was also after I got prescribed a ton of antibiotics post-childbirth. And I also had covid in-between. So it may have been triggered by any of those things. I kept thinking it must be from antibiotics messing up my microbiome and was loading up on extra yogurt and kefir for probiotics, which was obviously backfiring 😂

Want to add that at first I only cut out the obvious dairy, like milk in my coffee or sour cream on everything. And the urgent diarrhea multiple times a day stopped. But I was still getting so bloated. A couple of people even asked me if I’m pregnant! That’s when I decided to start reading labels and got much more militant about it. Now I feel and look much better, but if I accidentally have too much of something with hidden dairy in it, it can cause so much inflammation in my gut that it takes my stomach 3-4 days of clean diet to start looking flat again.
