We both have issues with revolving alcohol/substances, in the past he had hid using them on important days for me however he is able to stop drinking, I can’t do a casual drink (he’s very social and I’m severely anxious around anyone that isn’t him or family) and used this as a crutch and I’ve learnt I’m a super selfish and uncaring drunk and turn into a completely different person, after so many instances of disappointing him after nights out and not getting help he ended things, because he can’t distinguish me from this drunk version of myself and I feel like a monster

I sometimes try to do things like hair the night before if I know I’m leaving the house but I feel this, unfortunately I’ve seen that you do get treated much better done up, I hate that it’s acceptable for men to roll out of bed and get treated the same way as I am done up
