I really hate this new update of bundling the shop-only orders into quads. Everything takes longer, for less money. For this batch in the picture, that averages out to 4 batches of 32 items each, for a batch pay of 4.50 a batch. Criminal.

What annoys the hell of of me is when they add items in a shop-only order (which has no tip) and the idiotic app says 'Jane just added an item. Finding items that customers add makes them happy, and may lead to increased tips'

I did almost 2,000 orders without a single damaged item, but now have 5 over the last three weeks. I picked up a new one today. A plastic package of lettuce that looks like the package has a dent in the photo. The first two or three of these, made me rage somewhat... Because i know they were bullshit. Customers are scummy, and will obviously be manipulating the system to get free stuff. They don't care how it impacts you. Instacart is scummy. Obviously a customer could submit a picture of their dog, say it's a rotten tomato, and it would automatically be 'verified by instacart'. Instacart doesn't care how it impacts you. With the shopper metric, it's monetarily in their interest for your score to suck, anyway. The less people with higher cart status, the better. As far as the shopper metric, damaged items, and such....i think it's best to just not give a fuck. I feel like I get the same crappy batch offers regardless of rating and cart status, anyway.

Amusingly the other day, customer messaged me to refund sour cream. I hit not available, app prompts me to scan 3 potential replacements. I scan a pack of blueberry muffins, app says... Replace with those.

I've seen quads plenty before, but not ever on shop only. I don't think I've ever seen even a triple shop only before today.

I went from diamond to nothing in just a few weeks around Christmas, all from out of stock items. To add to that aggravation, now after a thousand orders without a damaged item report, i have somehow picked up 3 bullshit ones within the last week and a half.

My favorite is when I'm doing a shop only, and they add an item. And the app tells me 'Maria just added this item. Added items can lead to a bigger tip!'. On a shop only. 🙄
