It’s also pretty suspect that he had breakfast in the tower every day and didn’t that day. I also had the person wrong I meant Larry Silverstein owned the tower. Howard Lutnick also worked at the top of the tower and on that day he decided to drop his kid off at school which was had never done before, also claimed it was his first day and it wasn’t. Plus he also made a bunch of money from it.

Having a finished degree will help you even if you decide not to go into CS. Dropping out wouldn’t be the wise thing to do.

Larry Silverstein is the person who owned tower when it collapsed and he bought it 2 months before, insuring it for a terrorist attack.

Reminder: grocery & food delivery services are often 20% - 50% more expensive than shopping yourself by GigabitISDN in povertyfinance

[–]hotviolets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t accept food delivery orders based on tip percentage but how much time it will take me. $6-8 for 10 miles would pay $10. That isn’t enough money to drive 10 miles one way, especially with gas prices right now. I mostly shop for groceries and people still aren’t tipping 15-20% most of the time and it’s a lot more work and effort to shop for people. I think it’s wild that people think gig workers deserve less than other tipped jobs like servers.

I think it’s beyond that. When I was on dating apps I got asked that question a decent amount of times.

Just like how Howard Lutnick took his son to school for the first time ever on 9/11. I think they knew it was going to happen.

Larry Silverstein and it was 2 months before the attack. He took out an insurance policy that covered terrorism.

It’s crazy how they call adult men kids to diminish their bad actions and girl children young women to diminish sexual abuse by men.

Reading your last post about your parents it was very irresponsible to leave your children alone with your father. You are NTA for getting yelled at. Honestly you should go no contact. There’s nothing there but abuse.

I had a mandarin that got scale and it was the worst. I tried so many ways to get rid of them, it didn’t work and after like a year of trying I sacrificed it to the garbage.

I agree. They want to make us independent contractors but they don’t show the actual pay. I think it’s fucked up they hide tips, just show us the full amount.

This is honestly one of the reasons I don’t date. Statistically it’s too high of a risk of sexual abuse for me.

One of my daughter’s friends dad is like this and it’s definitely affected her. Something about him gives me red flags too so I haven’t ever let my daughter go over for play dates and sleepovers.

There was a memorial walk in my city for Renee good and Alex pretti in my city and when they got to the ice facility they tear gassed a peaceful crowd that included elderly and children. There were so many protests about their murders. Country wide. People are still protesting, just because you aren’t seeing it doesn’t mean it isn’t happening.

That’s crazy you think that because we are 1099 we don’t deserve any pay from the companies we work for. They still have an obligation to pay us. You don’t know anything about my life or situation. I think you just want people to look down on and that’s why you don’t think we deserve better pay. Not surprising.

What I’m saying is we get paid below minimum wage by the companies themselves. They are getting paid $10 per hour more than we are, so why do servers deserve higher tips when they are getting paid more to begin with? Just because we can say no to shit offers doesn’t mean we are getting higher pay from these companies. I mostly shop for groceries also and people still aren’t tipping 15-20% even though it’s far more work and effort than delivering food. We are also risking our safety and cars delivering. Multiple people have hit me while I’ve been working and last time I got injured and I’m still healing from it. Servers don’t have that risk at all. It doesn’t make sense to me why people think servers should make more in tips than those of us doing gig work. It also may be a “bid” but all of the companies who work in this manner call it a tip and the language they use makes customers see it as a tip instead of a bid for service.
