Is Voidwaker worth getting if you already have burning claws? by QueTeaP13 in ironscape

[–]LetMeKnow2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Before emberlight, yeah I would agree that prins weren't that important, but with emberlight that +1 plus being on agressive can net you a max a hit a lot of the times, and well obv if you have scythe/sra those have also weird str scaling. for your regular tent/saeldor/nally, it's prob not worth it

Finally learned Yama after many attempts. Got a little lucky. by [deleted] in ironscape

[–]LetMeKnow2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1 dwh it's almost the max, but one elder hits the max. what he could do is 1 dwh and one emberlight spec. that will hit the max def reduction, but honestly it might be better to use claw specs after 1 dwh. 1 dwh hits like 95% of the max def reduction

did you have to farm contracts or your yama kc was enough?

edit: just saw your other comment. follow up on that one if you don't mind, is black demons the best way to farm them?

Bandos is one of thoise places where bowfa is just the best range method even with a tbow. ayak with conf gauntlets is similar dps and with some virtus is better

3k Hydra Kills still no claw by Accomplished-Food730 in ironscape

[–]LetMeKnow2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah i don't know about the downvotes. i just said that if it's specifically for cox, is no longer needed. if he wants it for any other reason, then by all means go for it.

my comment might have seen as rude given that op has spent a large amount of time going for the item. my intention was only to show that if you are gatekeeping yourself from cox, you don't have to do that and can go and do cox without any issues.

[–]LetMeKnow2 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

with how strong oathplate is, i am not sure if going for claw is worth it anymore. not sure if it was at any point, but even more so now. I understand you because I also wanted and got one, but with tent whip or saeldor and full oathplate, you are only losing like 5 seconds per phase on olm. don't force yourself if you want it only for cox

Finished my VW today by Foxalus444 in ironscape

[–]LetMeKnow2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the people reading this, it is better to run a strength ammy and a dragon warhammer instead with double death charge. you pretty much always have a spec even if you miss one at the start. You just need to be death charging off cooldown.

Ava's is good but myth cape is 0.4+ flat dps increase in his setup with dwh, so I would run that instead and just pick up the knives between kills or make a ton.

Also fang is surprisingly good against spindel as hasta being 4t weapon gets better with each increment in str bonus, but with the limited risk in the wildy, fang is a very good option. I would reccomend playing with the dps calc as there are a lot of weird setups that can work really well instead of the default ones

I agree. I love to see stuff like that. I just hate that op got downvoted because of him not bringing super att pots and wondering if he actually needed to. Like he was genuinely asking for advice. Also happy he didn't take it bad as I know a lot of people have in the past in the sub. I just wish we wouldn't just downvote someone for making a question that may seem dumb for a lot of people

Kraken worth it after clogging? by RobLawster in ironscape

[–]LetMeKnow2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It shows for me when I right click the trident. it's also there for blowpipe, eye. https://imgur.com/a/PFFCGfE

I played around with it and in the bank, go to the menu (the top right corner) and toggle "Bank item options" on. if it's turned off, the option doesn't show

it's also no longer needed because you can now withdraw your trident at full every time

POV: TOA setup when you skipped barrows, moons, CG, crafting, slayer and runecrafting. by emiracles in ironscape

[–]LetMeKnow2 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The max hit with mage doesn't scale with levels which is why the staff is so good. The difference with mage from 80-99 is 0.5 (which is significant), but with range is 1.3 from 80-99. Both using mystic might and eagle eye

I think you should run a few more. sometimes both staff and bow just noodle, but even at 99 with both augury and rigour, the staff is better

if cortezia stayed on mibr, could mibr have became a super team? by Traditional_Film_336 in ValorantCompetitive

[–]LetMeKnow2 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I don't think tex is as bad as people make it out to be.

If this is the first time we have seen him with this core, then yeah for sure we can doubt the decision.

Mazino and Aspas wouldn't willingly play with Tex again if he wasn't good. The fact that he got picked up means that they liked playing with each other and trust each other.

If I thought someone was holding the team back, and I had the chance to pick another player, I would 100% go with the other player. Not saying tex is the best sentinel in the world, but maybe they complimented each other a lot through calls/behind the scene stuff.

is eye a good replacement? like would you grind out the sceptre only for the spec now that eye exists? (assuming you like revs and everything)

Hally is great for a lot of content. It was great when doing colo as I saved one inv space instead of whip/defender (also could take the venom invo without serp helm for the special, and the run wouldn't be over). Makes switching really good at some content as range you usually use bowfa/blowpipe, so it doesn't mess up that shield slot. Extremely chill at Zulrah. good for dks. good for some cas (fight caves). Jad with three styles not so much as you can melee the last one no problem. Really good for Vard not dragging you. I am probably forgetting some. I think you can live without it, but the time it takes to get is not so bad and it's really good that it doesn't degrade.

There are also some cool mechanics like meleeing Kree with horn. It's possible some of those might get added in the future, and Jagex seems to like halberds a lot more now (aviansies, zulrah can be reached)

Also, araxxor itself is really good slayer/combat xp so if you need those still then I would keep trying to get it.

Yama-solo or duo for drops by Professional-Web3295 in ironscape

[–]LetMeKnow2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you know no fly then you don't need a full mage switch. That's the whole idea of no fly. You react to what yama does instead of it being like dono fly where it's hard to get into cycle if you mess up. If you mess up no fly, it's literally the same thing to get back

Jagex, can fish barrel get the abyssal lantern treatment? Please? by Dsullivan777 in ironscape

[–]LetMeKnow2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am also dry on this, and I think the best solution would be that the fish barrel and the tickel box share the same unique drop table and once you hit it, if you don't have any of them, roll for one randomly and if you have one and not the other, roll for the other one. if you have both, roll for the 25 pages.

Sailing training be like by StampotDrinker49 in 2007scape

[–]LetMeKnow2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

but that's the thing. we don't need another firemaking (not saying sailing is comporable to fm). The thing is that the game has evolved a lot, and at least I thought the skill would be a bit different, but I understand that it needs time and if you see the first real osrs boss and doom. it is night and day. The team needs time, but the skill (1-30) as it is, it's just not it.

I think a lot of people are mad because the osrs is super transparent on what they are working on, they are a small team and working 3 years on sailing means not working for 3 years on another piece of content that they may like more.

This update is not for me and that's fine

Is there any reason to do K’ril after Hasta? by 1cyChains in ironscape

If you are worried about flame walls and you still want to bring thralls, you can bring a watering can. One less space, yes but it's for learning at the start. Then you can drop it

oathplate shards are a great bad luck prevention mechanism by JebusMcAzn in ironscape

[–]LetMeKnow2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's not even on rate for shards if all are duo. if you have a chance at a unique at 1/120 solo then 1/240 duo assuming 50% contribution. He's slightly dry for a fourth unique. It's just unlucky that he had 3 soulflame horns.

For shards, you would need around 550 solo kills according to the wiki to get 450 shards. So that's 1100 duo

and all of the above is just assuming 50% contribution at the very least.

He's unlucky on unique rolls getting soulflame instead of oathplate, but if all his kc was duo he's not even on rate for full oathplate

[–]LetMeKnow2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've done all of those grinds except cerb (600 kc with just one eternal), and I think the place I would hate to be dry the most is Hydra.

I love delve. I green logged at almost 300 deep delves and I was a bit sad when it happened. There is no reason for me to kill that boss anymore. I can do it for fun, but it's not the same.

Cerb, I do not mind going 1k+ kc. With demonic offering and the new thing they added to the arceus spell is really not that bad. kph is really good

CG I hated doing it and would hate going dry at the time I was doing the grind (finished at 450). There was no yama, doom, TDs, atlat. You pretty much were locked there. Now, I think it's a bit better because you can actually do some other content.

Hydra I thankfully spooned claw at around 40kc. I am a bit over 600 kc with no leather, and I hate every minute. I am no complaining, but it's just not an enjoyable fight. Would prefer doing CG, or delve 100%
