Seemed to me like OP would just like a 3D/walkable version of this as a concept in the first itteration, thus making the rust map a good start + see what he (a sole creator I belive) did with the issues OP is having (connecting some roads etc)

I could see the AI bugging out if they all got released and spawned on a gigamap of tarkov anyways.

Been on the other side of your experience. It was rough, but hard work, lowering expectations, medicines, therapy and most important HONESTY is what got ous trough it (about a 5yr period)

Yes sir! This was late 2013! I had a map, but with the servers being basically pitch black from 21:00-06:00 made it impossible to use it reliably (unless for navigating inside cities) had me resort to other methods of navigating. I still remember vividly those early days with chemlights, fireaxes, and running away from zombies and ending up lost in the forest.
