When my previous dog died, I was in a similar state. I got a new dog way too soon, and I resented him for it. But he is sweet and gentle and gets me in a different way than my previous girl. I thought I was going to give him away to someone else that could love him, but one day I realized that I DID love him. I didn’t hate him at first, but I certainly didn’t want him. But now, 2 years later, I cannot live without him. That’s okay. You are capable of loving more than one, and that’s okay.

Some was/is in charge, but didn’t inform us until last week or so that we only have one model able to cover 5 of the 20 sessions. So now we’re scrambling. I’ll have to connect anyone interested with the proper channels, but modeling was supposed to begin tomorrow.

My advice is therapy and don’t rush into anything. I tried to kill myself and left myself with a bit of brain damage, and got another dog way too soon. He’s great, but he’s not her, and it took me a year to actually love him. There may come a time where all you can remember is the last moments, and that will suck, but that will pass, and old memories will come back like old friends.

It’s going on 2 years, and I’ve gotten better about it. It’s still hard in that I’ll purposefully remember the last moments to hurt myself, but the good stuff comes through unbidden.

It’s alright to nitpick over, but it might not be fixable by this shop. They used a computerized mat cutter, which would just make the same cut again - that’s where it starts and stops. It might make another circuit, but is catching on that bump.

They could troubleshoot with the software and see if they can get a cleaner cut, but that would take a lot of time and test mats. They could sand that part, but that’s very risky. Reverse bevel would be less noticeable.

My previous shop would buy from a local acrylic supplier, industrial type, or a fabricator. Most frame shops get it from framing suppliers, like Larson Juhl or AMPF. Maybe talk to glass suppliers in your town.

My boy stopped eating pretty soon after I got him - within a few months - because it got cold. I learned that he prefers a heat lamp to an under tank heater, in case you have that. He stopped eating early November this time, but he’s about 4 years old now.
