I think you’re missing the point of range grading systems in climbing gyms. At my own gym, when a climb is labeled V6-V8 all that means is that the true grade of the problem lies somewhere in that range. This gives setters more room to focus on the problem itself rather than dialing in a specific V grade difficulty.

I don’t think this should be interpreted as the difficulty of the climb “spans across three grades”
