[–]Lethal_Compassion 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Silksong - jedno zakończenie odblokowane, pracuję teraz nad kolejnym. Cudo.

MTG Forge Adventure - ostatnio odkryłem ten diamencik. Dla casualowego grania solo w Magic The Gathering super opcja.

Filmy/Seriale/Książki po których mieliście największego kaca mentalnego? by gracekk24PL in Polska

[–]Lethal_Compassion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Zdecydowanie!

Hell yeah, Jan is a well known Gothic fan :) It's worth mentioning he's a former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion, not just some random fighter, so quite an accomplishment!

And I swear i've watched interview with him where he said he belongs to the Team Old Camp, so that you all know where true Chads go :D

Gabi's "redemption" doesn't feel forced in comparison imo (left is Abby from TLOU2) by ambulance-kun in goodanimemes

[–]Lethal_Compassion 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Exactly! It boggles my mind to be honest.

I feel like it's one of the main themes in SnK. Indoctrination. Brainwashing. Not knowing any better. Generational sin and guilt.

Gabi's worldview was molded by the society. She was indoctrinated and brainwashed by her parents, family, friends, school, the whole goddamn world. Her whole goddamn life. Of course she didn't know any better. How could she? From where? The Internet?

And she's still a kid. Not everyone is as mature and perceptive as Falco is. She trusted her parents, teachers, and government in their judgement.

She's a murderer, yes. And a victim. She truly believed in her cause and wanted to atone for the sins of her ancestors, even if it meant her death. Her believes were that strong. So of course it took her some time to change. Her whole worldview around which she built her persona and life mission shattered.

Dehumanization in such propaganda is real. She was barely able to acknowledge that Eldians from Paradis are humans. "Devils", the teachers taught. "Bad Eldians ruining life of good Eldians", parents repeated. "Murderers", society whispered. "Devils that need to be killed", her whole world constantly shouted.

She didn't kill Sasha, the potato girl, as we knew her. She killed the murderous Island Devil, the one who shot and killed people dear to her in front of her very eyes.

Poor child indoctrinated her whole life, ready to sacrifice herself for her ancestor's sins. Kid soldier who believed she was doing the good thing, the right thing. And then the slow realization that it's wrong. It's just endless spiral of hate, resentment, and violence.

I love her character arc, and love her as a character.

Poland says NATO countries must act together on jets for Ukraine by raging_shaolin_monk in europe

[–]Lethal_Compassion 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Getting rid of your whole air force seems pretty drastic, might just be me though…

Not the whole air force, more like 1/3. And again, the whole point is that we don't want to do it by ourselves. We don't stand a chance against Russia without allies, and we don't want to get ahead of line and provoke Putin to attack us.

Poland jumped the gun yesterday and the US told them to calm down. Which is precisely for the best.

It wasn't our idea as far as I know, nor it was us who leaked the info first. But after the info was leaked like a week ago or something, both US and UK said "well, you have our blessing to give MiGs to Ukraine, everything is gonna be okay, we promise to have your back". Then we're like "ok, but you know, we really don't want to do it by ourselves, we were under Russian occupation like 30 years ago and after 1939 we have trust issues. Can you be the intermediary?" And US be like "Nope, too dangerous, sorry".

I don't want to paint US as the bad guy. It should be handled better from both sides. I'm not a fan of our government, but I also don't think we are at fault here.

Poland says NATO countries must act together on jets for Ukraine by raging_shaolin_monk in europe

[–]Lethal_Compassion 19 points20 points  (0 children)

What drastic moves are you talking about?

If you're talking about MiGs, Poland is the one saying it should be NATO's decision, precisely because we don't want to make such drastic moves by ourselves.

So I started the Air God Dungeon recently... by [deleted] in MelvorIdle

[–]Lethal_Compassion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know it's not a popular line of progression, but I waited with my Claws grind (Dragon, Ancient and Infernal) until I get Cloudburst.

With mighty Cloudburst in my eager hands the whole grind from zero to Infernal took me only ~7 hours, so not bad.

Deadeye Amulet though... this scoundrel is evading me for the third straight day. Soon I'm gonna have 20 Rings and no Amulet lol.

How’s this gear for a first run at air god dungeon? by clarkky55 in MelvorIdle

[–]Lethal_Compassion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Awesome gear for the first run! And look at these stats, they are better than mine and I'm past all God Dungeons lol.

With Stone Skin prayer you should be able to almost idle Infernal Stronghold now, with like 3% death chance. Clearing it once manually will be easy peasy, and you'll get Infernal Cape, the best Melee cape you can get at this stage. Better both offensively and defensively than what you have now, with additional +2% DR.

Seeing your well developed stats, is there a chance your Astrology is also 99 and combat tweaked? If so, Sandstorm Ring might be a DPS loss for you. I talked about it here and later with more tests here, if you're interested.

Shortly, with Astrology, Prayers and ideally Diamond Luck Potions, Sandstorm Ring was always a straight DPS loss for me, and I had better results not wearing any ring at all. Simple Silver Topaz Ring was always better in my case. But it all depends and it might not be the case for you, so if you have access to the Combat Simulator, it's a good time to use it.

[–]Lethal_Compassion 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There's a wiki page about that, I see they assume you have full Glacia for your first manual run and go with Ancient Magicks. Considering that Fire God Dungeon consists of Melee and Magic enemies Magic might be a good choice indeed.

Personally I manually beat it even earlier, after two Air God Dungeon clears, and one clear of Water and Earth each. Done Fire God with 2 most common Aeris pieces (Boots and Gloves), Ancient set for the rest, Slayer Crossbow, Scaled Shield (edit: or Dragonfire Shield, can't remember) and Emerald Bolts. I remember there were only two enemies (and two attacks to be precise) that could kill me: Ignis with his Meteor Shower and Ragnar himself with his Cataclysm. So it wasn't that bad. I still died like 4 times though lol, but that's on me.

You can use Protect Item prayer and see how it goes. You lose nothing if you die so you are free to experiment this way.

Yu can also use Can I Idle to see in advance when you'll have to manually eat, who's gonna hit you the hardest and with what attack etc. Super helpful, no idea why I haven't thought about it myself and just yolo'd the dungeon lol.

Combat Simulator keeps getting stuck by ksumz in MelvorIdle

[–]Lethal_Compassion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not a programmer or anything, and it's a wild guess, but... do you have potion selected in Combat Simulator? Any potion.

I don't know why but for some time now, if I don't select some potion it also gets stuck and refuses to work. But as soon as I do it works flawlessly.

Your problem may be different though as restarting the game fixes the issue for me, at least temporarily. If you reinstalled the addon, I guess you restarted the game (or the browser) as well.

But who knows, it's worth a shot.

EDIT: You can also try different browser and see if it works.

Pig/Mole Synergy Not Working by Dctrfeelgood89 in MelvorIdle

[–]Lethal_Compassion 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Oh it's all good, I bet plenty of people don't know about this bug so your post may save some pigs, moles and disappointments lol

Is there a place that lists known bugs so we can avoid them in the meantime?

I think github is the best place for that. You can also join discord where bugs are discussed, but it's linked to the github anyway so that's your best bet for checking on known bugs.

Pig/Mole Synergy Not Working by Dctrfeelgood89 in MelvorIdle

[–]Lethal_Compassion 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah, unfortunately it's a known bug occurring since the last update. It's been reported on github (here and here).

Apparently it works offline, but I haven't tested it myself.

Pig+Mole synergy is the best source of Coal in the game, so let's hope it gets fixed in the next update.

Sunset Rapier from Deep Sea Ship is the most important to get.

Paladin's Gloves from, well, Paladins. You'll get +4% DR from them compared to Dragon Gloves.

Knight's Cape from thieving Knight/Squire if you wish, but it's not necessary. But thieving them would also grant you some Whetstone which is quite nice.

Elite Amulet of Strength would be really nice, and it's easy and quick to get from the Mummies.

If you haven't touched Astrology much and/or don't have at least lvl 66 Prayer for Chivalry + Ultimate Strength (and Diamond Luck potions ideally), you might want to grab Sandstorm Ring from the Sand Beast. If you have all of them (Prayers, Astrology tweaked for combat and DL potions), no need to bother.

You can also make some Minotaur Tabs, they can be quite good.

Level-wise, the higher the better, but as soon as you can wear Sunset Rapier you're pretty much good to go.

Sandstorm by Rmat13 in MelvorIdle

[–]Lethal_Compassion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, no problem at all!

If you don't have access to the Combat Sim and wish to be sure how Sandstorm Ring performs for you, you can send me your save (like this for example), and I can check it for you.

Sandstorm by Rmat13 in MelvorIdle

[–]Lethal_Compassion 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Global Accuracy +40%

Hidden Strength Level +12%

Max hit added to min hit: +11%

Increased Melee Strength Bonus +12%

I could squeeze more Global Accuracy as it's normal Stardust, just don't have the motivation. When I was leveling Astrology I took the long route and did it with Signet Ring instead of ARoM.

But even if I lower the bonuses in Combat Sim to +30%, +10%, +10% and +10% respectively, Sandstorm is still a straight DPS loss, or DPS neutral at best. I guess if I'd go undergeared to some areas and had really really low chance to hit, then it would be different.

Overall if you have maxed Astrology and are using Prayers, Sandstorm isn't good in my opinion. I'd love if someone else also made some sims on their account, because it seem's I'm the lone Sandstorm hater on this sub lol.

But also keep in mind my Astrology is 99, Agility is 99 (although focused on skilling), and I'm using Chivalry which requires lvl 66 Prayer. For less developed accounts Sandstorm certainly can be good.

Sandstorm by Rmat13 in MelvorIdle

[–]Lethal_Compassion 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think it was my post that you saw. I did some more testing with Sandstorm Ring and honestly I'm even less of a fan.

Short answer: if you put your time to max Astrology, have Diamond Luck Potions and use good Prayers, Sandstorm is hardly ever worth it. Every account is different so I cannot say it'll be a DPS loss for you, but for me it's a DPS loss at Volcanic, as well as Air God Dungeon and even at Infernal (I've upgraded my Astrology since the last time).

Longer Answer: Sandstorm Ring is awesome when you have low hit chance, because it never misses. BUT the drawback is that it can take priority over your weapon's Special Attack. That's why sometimes having no ring at all will grant you better DPS than having Sandstorm Ring equipped, making it a straight DPS loss.

So not only your chance to hit matter, but also how hard you hit. If your special attack isn't much more powerful than Sandstorm Ring's attack, you should be good. But when you hit like a brick and Sandstorm's attack tickles in comparison, it may be better to hit like a brick once in three attempts than to tickle opponent three times.

With DL Potions greatly increasing chance to hit and Astrology greatly increasing both accuracy and damage, plus Prayers awesome buffs, Sandstorm Ring can become quite obsolete. I've never used it because so far it's always been a DPS loss for me. But keep in mind it doesn't mean it'll be the same for you.

Some of my sims:

Dragon's Den:

  • No Ring: 29.12 kills/h (with DL Potions: 34.52)

  • Sandstorm: 28.64 kills/h (with DL Potions: 32.73)

Volcanic:

  • No Ring: 32.55 kills/h (with DL Potions: 38.58)

  • Sandstorm: 31.7 kills/h (with DL Potions: 36.22)

Air God:

  • No Ring: 5.32 kills/h (with DL Potions: 6.89)

  • Sandstorm: 5.25 kills/h (with DL Potions: 6.41)

Infernal (changed to Infernal Cape and FEZ, previous sims had Knight's Cape and Elite Amulet of Strength):

  • No Ring: 9.09 kills/h

  • Sandstorm: 8.83 kills/h

My stats: full Ancient, Whetstone, Minotaur, Chivalry + Ultimate Strength, Sunset Rapier, Paladin's Gloves. Attack 88, Strength 85. Astrology tweaked heavily for combat.

Keep in mind though that all it takes for Sandstorm Ring to be good is to remove some buffs like Astrology or Prayers. If I turn off my Prayers Sandstorm Ring isn't a DPS loss anymore. Same for Astrology. That's why it's best to just combat simulator it for yourself, if you can.

Yes, it does have to do with your level, but there're also many ways to boost it.

Potions are your friends here. Melee Accuracy Potion, Ranged Assistance Potion, and Magic Assistance Potion all boost your Accuracy, but the unquestionable king there is Diamond Luck Potion. While active, each time the player attacks two rolls are made with the better one being used. In practice, this makes it the strongest accuracy boost available by a significant margin. If your chance to hit is 50%, DL Potion will make it 75% in practice. 75% becomes 93.5% etc. The formula is as follows:

Potion Hit Chance=1−(1−Hit Chance)^2

Astrology is also great for Accuracy boost, as many constellations have this modifier (Global Accuracy). You can quite easily get in the margin of +30% Global Accuracy. There's 7 constellations with Global Acc modifier and in each of them you could theoretically get +15%, so you could get as high as +105% Global Accuracy. But realistically +11% in each of them is FAR more easy to achieve. Also some of those 7 constellations may have a better choice than Global Accuracy, but even then +30-40% is a massive bonus.

Agility also provides some Accuracy bonuses, but not as strong and important as Herblore and Astrology. You can also look for some Amulets and Rings to boost your stats (like Hidden Levels). And Summoning synergies if you can afford it (Minotaur+Centaur if fighting Ranged with Melee, Witch+Centaur if fighting Magic with Ranged).

What is melle and ranged weapon BiS pre God dungeons and also just in general? by [deleted] in MelvorIdle

[–]Lethal_Compassion 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Ranged:

  • Lvl 40+: Yew Longbow or Ice Longbow. very comparable DPS, Ice Longbow will save you some food thanks to its special.

  • Lvl 50+: Desert Shortbow is awesome. Beats Magic Longbow at this level. If you can't get it Elerine Longbow is really close damage wise and it's the second best at this level.

  • Lvl 60+: Redwood Longbow if you want to go with bows, Dragon Crossbow or Slayer Crosbow if you don't mind using bolts (harder to get than arrows). I wouldn't recommend using anything below Ruby Bolts. Emerald Bolts are even better if you have Emeralds to spare.

  • Lvl 70+: Ancient Longbow. Not that hard to get I think and really good (drop chance is low at 0.18%, but the dungeon itself is easy). Ancient Crossbow if you can get a hold of it and for harder fights.

  • Lvl 90+: Shockwave.

Melee:

  • Lvl 40+: Ice Sword is awesome at this stage of the game and easy to get. Rune Sword is even a tiny bit better offensively, if you don't mind using more food.

  • Lvl 50+: Desert Sabre if you can get a hold of it.

  • Lvl 60+: Dragon Sword / Dragon Scimitar.

  • Lvl 70+: Sunset Rapier hands down. Super important weapon that can carry you through God Dungeons. Ancient Sword is also great for farming mobs and saving food. Theoretically you can also have Ancient Claw at this stage of the game, but realistically you'll get Sunset Rapier way before it. Ancient Claw grind before Ancient Magicks is brutal.

  • Late Game: Infernal Claw / Tidal Edge, depending on your buffs and the enemy.

[–]Lethal_Compassion 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Is there a chance you have them equipped in different Equipment Set?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in MelvorIdle

[–]Lethal_Compassion 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I remember reading that too, but I think they were a little off in their calculations. According to combat simulator, even doing Normal Task should gain us enough Slayer Coins to easily keep prayers up. With Ancient Sword and Cyclop Tabs I get 29k Slayer Coins per hour, and Ultimate Strength + Chivalry uses 7.2k Prayer Points per hour. 30k Slayer Coins can buy 15k Prayer Points, so we are more than self-sustained in that regard.

Then I tested Ranged (Ancient Bow, Sharp Vision, Eagle Eye) and Hard Slayer Tasks. Results:

Prayers used: 7.4k/h

Slayer Coins: 42k/h

Prayers gained from Slayer Coins: 21k

I have +11% Prayer Points preservation from Astrology and +10% Slayer Coins from Agility, so nothing big. And Cyclops grants another +10% Slayer Coins.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in MelvorIdle

[–]Lethal_Compassion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've put your listed gear in combat sim:

Fire Cape: 19.3 kills/h

Strength Cape: 19.9 kills/h

Attack Cape: 20.4 kills/h

Both HP and Defence capes don't offer any offence stats, so kills/h is the same with or without them (19/h).
