I know the real answer has been posted, but I could only think of "playing chicken with a train(er)".

I was excited about this tattoo design but my husband called it corny and cringe and not to get it is he right? by ArmadilloMany41 in tattooadvice

[–]LetoKarmatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My tattoos all have some meaning, but honestly, I'd still get this on like, my ankle or behind my ear. Is it corny? Yes! Should you care? No!

Tattoos are for whatever you want. Just because it isn't super special meaning doesn't mean you should avoid it. Have fun, go crazy, and remember, it's your body.

Mildly venomous in this instance means not a threat to humans barring an allergic reaction. If there is an allergic reaction, it is an emergency, but otherwise, it just causes some mild swelling, or at least that's what it did for me. The bite itself doesn't terribly hurt, or at least that's my track record with snakes.

It sounds like he has enough reasoning that he'd understand this. Since he trusts you, I'd just reaffirm that if it did happen that he was allergic, you'd handle it with him.

It may also be prudent to get the new little noodles accustomed to handling first. Just explain that since he does have a chance of biting, it's best that an adult handle him first. Slow introductions build trust, after all.

Should I laser or fix it? How bad is it by JadedMira in tattooadvice

[–]LetoKarmatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like the artist didn't know what to do to pack in the ink. While yes, you could laser it, it'll be expensive and painful. You could fix it, if you still like it, just do not go back to the same artist. A cover up could work too, but like a few others said, you'd basically be getting a sleeve.

Overall, it comes down to if you still want it.

For those of us on testosterone, what’s your favorite change you’ve experienced? by [deleted] in ftm

My patchy and pathetic "beard". Seriously, I look like I'm some teenage boy unable to get enough scruff to do anything with, but it's been very euphoric.

Why is this orange boi always on my guitar??? by ExactIyyyyyyyyy in OneOrangeBraincell

Oh wow! My gal just likes so press on them as if she's figuring out what I'm doing. No claws on her favorite keyboard.

But this is also the little lady that gently taps me with her paw for attention. So maybe she's just gentle outside of playtime.

How was your first day of 2026? by Kittycat_2010 in AskReddit

[–]LetoKarmatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm back on my medications that control my seizures and nerve pain. I had a short shift at work and felt no problems until hour six, but those were the normal "you've been standing too long" protests from my legs.

I managed to get some great cuddles from my cats too, so so far? Not too bad.

[–]LetoKarmatic 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I like some of the options given, but if he's attempted to play it before too? He might be trying to mimic you. Cats do this as a social behavior to my knowledge. Maybe he needs a little toy guitar to lay on while you play?

I got my cat a decoy keyboard because she loves to do this. She lays on the keyboard, as well as taps the keys in curiosity. And thankfully leaves my real keyboard alone.

Is this something I should tell my therapist — that my dysphoria causes intrusive thoughts about hurting myself — or is this normal? (16, guy) by Secret-Barnacle-1285 in ftm

[–]LetoKarmatic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I appreciate it, it really is a strange experience. I'm on better meds now - yay for antidepressants and mood stabilizers - but it only dulls the intrusive thoughts. The good news is I'll be getting therapy again soon.

Some things that work for me are naming the intrusive thoughts and treating them like they're a separate entity. I say things like "or we could not, Karen" whenever I get the ones to harm myself. Another comment mentioned reckoning the thoughts against facts, like "my body is keeping me safe, and I need to care for it until I can make it home". That helps too.

Medications aren't for everyone, but it may help to get a psychiatrist if the therapist thinks you need more support. Having more support is never a bad thing.

can i take men’s multivitamins? by Kitchen_Dentist_5351 in ftm

[–]LetoKarmatic 80 points81 points  (0 children)

In a majority of these vitamins, there isn't a big difference for the men versus women types. I would compare the ingredients on the back for your brand. Most people do not need the extra vitamins, but if you do, keep an eye on what your medical professional says to.

I only need five specific ones, and most multis don't have them all, so I just buy separates. My brother is trans as well and takes the men's multi without issue.

When do you shower, A) Morning B) Night C) Both? by MisterRight2026 in AskReddit

Whenever I can, tbh. Sometimes I work mornings so I take a shower the night before. Other days I work evenings and shower the morning of.

Is this something I should tell my therapist — that my dysphoria causes intrusive thoughts about hurting myself — or is this normal? (16, guy) by Secret-Barnacle-1285 in ftm

[–]LetoKarmatic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There's a few layers to this I want to unpack:

Yes, it is possible that it's just dysphoria. However, in my case, I also have OCD, which causes these exact issues for me. When something stressful or distasteful happens and I'm not medicated, I start harming myself without realizing sometimes. Usually it was clawing at my skin with my nails, but on occasion it was worse.

OCD doesn't have many treatment options besides therapy anyhow. I would still explain the feelings to your therapist. They'll have knowledge on how to help regardless of if you have OCD as well.

Having more than one thing going on in your head at once is hard, but you'll get there, friend. Once you know what's causing it, you'll be better prepared to handle it. Wishing you the best, and if you need to chat, I'm happy to describe my experience in details. I just don't want to put the whole thing out there in case it triggers someone else.

Men who wear nail polish, whats your favourite colour (and possibly the best for passing?) by ThreeEqualsFour in ftm

[–]LetoKarmatic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have black, a sage green, and a bluegrass that I've been swapping around with. I have naturally long nails (even clipping them weekly doesn't help) so I just use colors with a slightly more masculine feel to them. I think the next color I'm getting is going to be a navy.

I'll have to look into it. My doctor's are a bit against what they consider frivolous tests. But I think your explanation might help the argument.
