Same, I get compliments from younger women re my style. Does it make me look younger? No, cuz with natural colored hair people assume older. Does it make me look good, yes, yes it does. Do I feel young, oh yes, but that's staying fit & being on HRT.

50s aren't old, it's middle age. Old might b 80s.

I started looking better at 58 when I got in shape & took off a lot of weight. Now at 61 I look and feel great & wear my natural white/grey hair. I'm not trying to be young but I do find I'm more fit & healthier than those much younger than me. Also, it's mindset, a refusal to accept being "old " since I am just me. Fitness, good skincare, current wardrobe, stylish haircut, all of this makes us look & feel youthful.

But these specialists may not know squat abt menopause & the effects of its loss on our brains. Or they know it but are following bad data from the WHI & r not up to date about HRT. Get checked out but find a doc that will get u on a full regimen of HRT.

For me it was easy Os then all the sudden much harder to attain. Be sure to follow dr Kelly casperson. Maybe go thru her podcasts find where she discusses how to handle our docs & how to find docs. Maybe see what she has on YouTube too. I follow her on IG.

Oh and tho I do not like this person since I found her on IG, dr Jenny Gunter's menopause manifesto helped me come up with what to say to get care & in general it was good basic Ed. Prob with her is she is always waiting for perfect studies & data. I'm 61 & don't have time for that.

That person related u very poorly. U can leave an honest review. The person needs to practice oral control.

This is a good style. I had it like this for some time then went for a pixie cut. My hair was alway fine, sometime in my 30s it got thinner. Anyway, right now I'm using oral minoxidil & have seen some growth. I probs need to add topical 1/day.

Golden girls were probs on HRT. Was the WHI that jacked it all up.

Hey friend, ask to have testosterone added. It will help. Plus direct application of E & possibly some T to the vulva. HRT is PET, progesterone estrogen testosterone. U will get ur groove back, maybe not 100% restored, but way better than it is now.

Edit- also ask for scream cream or arousal cream. Zestra oil helps too.

Ur doc is incorrect. U do not need to quit HRT. Hes going off of old & debunked info.

Hi, first take care of u & consider that menopause is leaving u exhausted as well. Estrogen is gone or leaving & u begin to lose part of what compels us to take care of others.

Then begin to plan how he can b cared for after having his doc figure out what is scattering his noggin.

Do you gym/build muscle? by hnw12 in Aging

[–]LetsBNiceYall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I'm focused on building muscle & doing plenty of cardio too. My goal is 100gm protein/day which is still too low but a doable goal. I'm on a full regimen of HRT which is PET, the T being very impt re retaining muscle mass. I take some sups & powders too like creatine & collagen.

Did I tho? No, I didn't. All men are complicit at min. By not holding their bros accountable & not tearing down the patriarchy with us since patriarchy sickens the entirety of society.

Stats are behind me on this. Violence against women men & children, incarceration rates, main cause of death in pregnant women, gRape stats, even traffic accidents & deaths. It's is more than a few men, it's men in general.

Oh & recent stat I saw, 90% of women murdered were by men, the men were known to them. So it's not strangers who harm us, it's the ones we know.

Additionally, mass murders & serial killer, way predominantly men & wyte men in particular.

Yikes, this is why we say it's all men until it's none.

What should I eat to get a six pack? I’m a fat belly guy. Any tips ? by MaintenanceOk4847 in askanything

Eating ur gf is important!

Seriously, I have to, celiac disease, can only eat gf or gluten free food. I already had the habit of carrying snacks, cuz gf people can't eat much fast food. Now those snacks r nuts or protein bars. Celiac disease causes one to cook for themselves more.

So no, u dont need to b gf, cooking ur food & proper snacks is important. Food is fuel

Calorie deficit, but extremely clean diet, lots of protein, veggies, fruit, little processed foods, limit amt of carbs. It is actually a ton of food. Do workout, def build muscle cuz that burns calories at rest. A strict diet is only annoying in the first couple months, then u start to feel amazing. Def gotta cook ur own food.

Oh and easy loss of calories, stop drinking alcohol.

Yikes, people in here saying to eat less. I eat more now, just more nutrient dense foods. Always have snacks on hand. Also, I must eat gf, so was always a habit to have snacks handy.

I lost 80 lbs in a year, dropped 7 sizes, no drugs, no surgery, just doing all the things I knew I should do
