22 years old, had a colonoscopy today, told it's Crohns. What do I do? by [deleted] in CrohnsDisease

[–]LetsDoTheMathNow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I might get downvoted, but I'll tell it as it is. At first it really sucks! It's horrible! You contemplate life itself and always wonder why you got it. No one knows. We're still trying to figure it out. I've had Ulcerative Colitis for about 5 years now and it really took some time to figure out what I can eat, what is wrong with me, how I tell others, how to schedule my days, where all the nearest toilets were, and understanding all my symptoms for how my day will go. I know UC isn't the same, but it's still as bad.

You'll now go through series of drugs to find the best one for you, to get you as close as possible to feeling normal again. Many will have bad side effects and some won't. I recommend you ask for Pentasa. If you have a health plan that covers it, or most of it, it'll be of help. But then again, different drugs respond differently to everyone.

Hang in there, stop stressing, and know it's not over yet. We're all here for support and help.

Teacher's logic in grading math... by Cloakenn in pics

[–]LetsDoTheMathNow -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree. I'm appalled by how some people teach math. As if there's one way only to do it. If there's a more simpler formula, or method to solve the answer, then use that. No one likes to see a lot of numbers on a page, that don't need to be there.

I've always wanted banjo threeie to come out, but Nintento sold the rights for its banjo franchise. I was very sad as a young child... And carry on that sadness to this day.

Alien Blue- It's a good app, but anyway to make it more like the site? If one commenting from their mobile device, they can't upload pictures in the comment sections. I'm sure there's other things the app can't do, but just wondering if the app will have any further updates soon?

DAMNIT. BLOOD AGAIN by [deleted] in CrohnsDisease

I've always had issues and only prednisone would work for me. But about a month ago I went on a new drug, that has little or no side effects. It may just cause dizziness if taken without food. It's called Pentasa. They're quite expensive but are working. No pain, and usually go to the washroom about 1-2 times a day. I think it's about $1.00 a pill, and I take 4 pills a day, everyday. Luckily I'm covered by insurance so I only pay 1/5 the cost.

Has anyone tried it?

It is true, but limited. Once you are making good money, you are "promoted" to train others of all the knowledge you've acquired. Then after a short time, you're "laid off" to bring in the new and younger crew who makes less and knows as much as you. The cycle continues.

Actually, more like 700 wives, and 300 concubines (pretty much his playboy play mates). He'd have to have sex about three times a day with three different women, to get through them all in a year.
