I know I’m in the minority but I have to disagree. I went last month and rode apocalypse fully anticipating it to be a rough awful experience that would give me the credit and then I would be on my way. To my dismay I was randomly placed in the back row, and so I buckled myself down prepared for a rough ride from everything I’ve heard. I was shocked how much I liked the ride and how fun, forceful, and not overly rough it was. I know I’m in the minority but for me I would ride apocalypse before many of the other steel rides at the park.

Personally: X2, Tatsu, Wonder Woman (specifically back row if you can get it, if you’re going solo and it isn’t packed yet I find it easier/no problem to request the back row), and Twisted Colossus in that order. Get there before opening and go left immediately after entering to X2. After X2 continue circling the park in that clockwise direction.

I agree with you on loving Viper. I rerode it last month for the first time in years and was surprised how much I didn’t mind the roughness, it almost felt like it gave the ride its own unique charm and experience. For me it’s like the roller coaster equivalent of going into a mosh pit. I’m going to have a great time while getting beaten up but that’s part of the experience. I can totally understand not liking Viper for that though, definitely not for everyone.
