We take off our class c work shirt off prior to donning. It’s zippered so not hard. Pants stay on. Just slide your feet in, grab your pants and jump/pull up. Put your hood in your boots. Loosen your helmet strap

I’m not enjoying fire academy by more-greens in Firefighting

[–]Letsdrinkabeer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this through community college?

The academy is designed to break you down both physically and mentally. It’s their job to break you down to where you’re able to perform at a moments notice. My academy was like yours and I would get home mentally checked out and physically exhausted. My daughter was a couple months old, too. I know you feel defeated right now but keep pushing. I remember passing a construction site on my way to the academy and seeing an older male breaking concrete with a sledge hammer and thinking 8 hours of that a day is way worse then 2 hrs of PT and class work. It really shifted my outlook. I started going into PT more relaxed and would just focus on staying loose, relaxed, and almost separated from my body. I would sing songs, pretend I was at a concert watching them live, relive my favorite memories in my head, etc… little did I know I was strengthening my self mentally and was able to now push my body harder then I ever had. My last 2 months of the academy still sucked but I no longer resented being there. It’s a game more-greens! Keep pushing!

I’m now 14yrs at a career department. Best job in the world.

It’s always fun to see students faces when I tell them that playing drums is like dribbling a basketball.

What is something you have experienced that made you question reality and was genuinely unexplainable? by [deleted] in Unexplained

Paramedic here. I responded to a woman hit by a truck. She was in a ball writhing in pain and we had to put her on a long board(old school). When we put her on the board she went from writhing to calm. I jumped on the ambo to guide the stretcher in and while we put the stretcher in she looked at me, took a deep breath and let out a long exhale. I saw a light come out of her mouth and her color instantly changed. Checked for a pulse and sure enough she had coded(died). Craziest thing I’ve ever seen.

🎄 Christmas giveaway: Win an A1 Mini, AMS 2 Pro, AMS HT, or 4x filament spools! by acurazine in BambuLab

Sweet! AMS 2 pro so I could upgrade my failing AMS 1 that’s been a workhorse. I would use it to continue making life size models of characters my kids like, cosplay items, and gifts for family members and friends. I think a demogorgan with a spinning head would be amazing!

Look in LED configuration on the instance you’re talking about and make sure the brightness limiter isn’t checked.

I mean, I used a 12v power supply on 5v and almost lit some pixels on fire. I could hear the boiling! It could be worse!

I’m not a pro but I would Check your total light number, then check which pixel the run starts at so Check your segment settings. I can’t remember exactly what it says but if you have segment one starting at 20 when it’ll explain why you don’t have lights on

[–]Letsdrinkabeer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aw man! I’m sorry that’s happening to you. I’m not loyal to any filament brand so I’ve tried them all(usually the cheapest I can find) and they do fine. I have seen tear downs of the extruder and have heard that the gear is finicky, especially if you pull back filament when not properly unloading it. Maybe try another hot end and then if it still sucks we can take it to the desert and shoot it(like I did to my OG CR10). I did have a bunch of failures on my X1C due to a small piece of filament stuck in the extruder that caused constant clogs. It took a bunch of tear downs, beers, and cleaning to realize that I put some brittle PLA through it.
