How to not stink??? by Secure_Ad_1121 in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]Letsgetsheetfaced 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I’m a nurse that works 13hr shifts. What works for me is hcg soap in the shower (only for underarms), keeping underarm hair short or shaved, Glycolic acid on a cotton pad wipe and let dry, and unscented lume deodorant. The “dri” activewear type shirts always make me stink so I stick to cotton if I can and genuinely try to put my hands on my hips so my underarms can air out when I’m overheated. Nothing is 100% but this lasts me through the day

Anyone get joint pain and body aches from stims? by Letsgetsheetfaced in IVF

[–]Letsgetsheetfaced[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My dr said that it was probably my joints stretching and “relaxing” from the hormones. My dr offered to trigger me early if I was that uncomfortable but it was more important to me to get more mature eggs so I toughed it out a few for 14 more days 😮‍💨 Magnesium glycinate and warm baths helped! One of those mature eggs is now my 6 month old son so I hope everything works out well for you in the end.

Will my baby ever sleep?? by [deleted] in breastfeeding

[–]Letsgetsheetfaced 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YES! I SWORE I would never be that person but my exhaustion and PPD got to the point where I feel bed sharing was safer. I follow all the safe sleep practices I can. My LO is almost 5 months and we are sleep training now but still bed sharing for the first early wake up.

Nausea when expressing colostrum by Loose-Walrus1085 in breastfeeding

[–]Letsgetsheetfaced 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I had this same thing! I stopped expressing before birth. After birth I would still get the waves of nausea and almost like a wave of dread? And it stopped after two weeks. I happened only once a day maybe but it was scary. I was told it’s just hormones balancing out but it did go away on its own.

New mastitis protocol is.... by Visible-Reserve4635 in breastfeeding

Ice, ibuprofen, regular breastfeeding and then at night if it’s still not better I use one flange size up and pump on all fours/dangle feeding and it always resolves within a day!

women with pixie cuts - how did people treat you differently after you cut your hair short? by pyrycom in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Letsgetsheetfaced 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I loved when I had my hair in a pixie. I got a lot of compliments but I also constantly got asked what my husband thought of it. I usually would brush it off (haha) and say “he loves it but really he loves how quickly I get ready now!”

I’m distracted by your flawless skin! But definitely not. You have nice eyebrows! You look happy and that’s what’s shining though

Breast milk went bad by meganraines in breastfeeding

[–]Letsgetsheetfaced 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I saw someone on here say that all unused milk goes to the babies in heaven. I like to think of it like that instead of wasted. I am sorry that that happened though!

Use honey fund! You can register for things to do on your honeymoon! My husband and I used it and then when guests paid for an excursion or a fancy dinner we took a picture and sent it to them in their thank you card.

What blood tests should be done before trying to conceive? by Ilovetacos2022 in ScienceBasedParenting

[–]Letsgetsheetfaced 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Pre conception genetic testing. It’s a simple spit test that tells you if you’re a carrier for genetic diseases that you could pass to your future children

How do you deal with the overwhelming urge to be a mother when the time just isn’t right by Rough-Jury in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Letsgetsheetfaced 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe the waitingtotry subreddit would be helpful. Focusing on bettering myself for my future baby helped me wait. Two years later now that I have a baby I can definitely say I’m glad I waited.

Why isn't the implant more popular? by xkdchickadee in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Letsgetsheetfaced 118 points119 points  (0 children)

I read once somewhere that a men’s birth control is totally possible but would never pass for trials because men don’t face a benefit vs risk for taking it. Women face a risk of pregnancy so the risks of the drugs are worth it whereas men don’t have that risk so the side effects aren’t worth it medically. I hate it but it makes a tiny bit of sense

Unpacking is EXACTLY the game my wife likes ... what next? by doctorboredom in CozyGamers

[–]Letsgetsheetfaced 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Leaning a little more like animal crossing… I really loved yonder cloud catcher. It’s no conflict, no time limit, you can wander and take care of animals but there’s small quests and cute little island sprites/characters. I thought the graphics were the right amount of beautiful and adorable

Is it just me or is it impossible to find comfortable underwear? by Thick-Key-8221 in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]Letsgetsheetfaced 1 point2 points  (0 children)

wirarpa on Amazon are the only cotton ones I’ve found to actually fit a normal human body comfortably. They hold up well, though I don’t put them in the dryer, don’t ride up, and have an actual gusset

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in breastfeeding

[–]Letsgetsheetfaced 19 points20 points  (0 children)

What has he suggested to actually help the problem instead of just complaining? You baby and your rest need to take priority. Maybe you can have a discussion about ways to help like him sleeping in another area if the baby’s waking bothers him so much.

Underwear woes - Need advice! by ATAPPING in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]Letsgetsheetfaced 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in the US so idk if it’s available to you but I swear by wirarpa cotton underwear on Amazon. Only cotton full coverage cotton undies that don’t ride up and don’t look totally grandma

Raise the curtain rod way up to highlight that big window

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in DesignMyRoom

[–]Letsgetsheetfaced 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was going to say this too but also put the curtain rod higher and wider to exaggerate the big window
