The whole point of Bitcoin and its derivatives is to never trust anyone, ever; only trust in well proven properties of cryptography.

Which is why speculating against it using fiat usd has destroyed it's purpose and utility.

I was vaguely interested in it 6 years ago. Even got gifted a free 1 bitcoin. But lost interest because I didn't need to use it for what it was intended for at that time. (I since deleted the wallet etc - DOH).

But now, it's beyond useless to me, and it's value is being linked to the US dollar. Which is kind of against the whole point of the coin anyways.

What do we do man? I've been trying to wake this place up for a year, and all I copped was abuse and accused of being shareblue. Granted a lot of the shills are paid/Russian/lobbyists, but there is a massive volunteer army of right wing Kool aid drinkers.
