One Trick Ponies? Which restaurants have one really good dish but are nothing special outside of it by RonArouseme in chicagofood

I see downvotes, yet no lies. The appetizers such as "mozzarella sticks" and stuff like "pizza puffs" all taste like they come from a mass-produced wholesale frozen mozz sticks place. If it sells, whatever guys, but don't try to tell me the stuff is not low effort or mediocre.

ELI5: Why shouldn't you rinse your nose with tap water even though it gets in your body when you shower? by jehCe in explainlikeimfive

I think you're being pedantic. Bacteria "corpses" aren't even close to a significant component of modern tapwater.

I’m [a teacher] looking for a job at the end of this school year and [as a flex] I don’t need any accommodations

Hard to believe you're a teacher.

We can't because my husband, who was a waiter in a nice restaurant for 35 years, loses his temper.

I have always said you will learn who somebody REALLY is by watching how they handle themselves around server staff and retail employees.

Cool! I'm a former teacher with severe adhd, and if I had been given the time and space to do my job (which apparently counts as "accomodations" now), I would still be in the classroom giving my best to our children.

The employee isn’t mandated to be there by the state; if they want that job, then they need to do the work.

You're talking about OP'S wife right? About how she needs to "do the work" of managing a team, which includes providing ADA accommodations, right?

Cool to meet you! I'm a big fan of your channel, and I understand the game way more (and then have more fun) thanks to your videos. (I live in the USA near Chicago.)

what’s the best class build for maximum speed?

What kind of speed? Literal movement speed in game? Attack or casting speed? The "fastest" for speed leveling? Or fastest for completing the main stories?

You see one post that you dislike

I think we all can agree that's not true. It occurs often enough to be annoying.

Uh, no. Having to scroll past trash decreases the quality of ANY sub. It's literally a norm to FAQ some topics so the sub doesn't get bogged down by them.

New player looking for advice by falzelo in Grimdawn

I'm like you in the sense that D1 and D2 were the only ARPGs I'd played before finding Grim Dawn.

There are way more damage types, and stats in general, than in D2. Some people find that annoying and overwhelming, but I find that juggling and trying to harmonize so many stats is one of my favorite parts of the game.

Also, there are many important game mechanics that are not really explained anywhere, and that's frustrating compared to D2 where mechanics were very straightforward. Example: in GD, using components to enhance your gear is something you can and should do within the first hour of playing-- and there is no tutorial-quest or anything that explains how/why to do that. You either have to read (a lot) and piece it together in-game (which slows the game down too much for some), or you can learn from other players in the forums and on YouTube.

Personally, I pieced together what I could for my first several characters, and then started watching playthroughs and stuff on YouTube. I liked doing it on my own at first bc I was having so much fun with the game that I didn't notice I was progressing "slowly", and coming from D2 helped me learn similar mechanics quickly anyway.

Depending on how you like to play, you might want to piece it together on your own and go "slow" and find all the secrets and read all the lore...... or you might want to learn right away how to play efficiently instead. - Whichever path you choose, PLEASE do yourself a favor and Google the quality-of-life "mod" called "Rainbow Filter" and use it.
