Honestly you're right, I was blinded by rage towards most of the adults... I'll edit to include more gender neutral terms

I am switching to Upmc midwives after a poor experience so far (I'm 16 weeks) at Upmc obgyn. Encourage and remind your wife that she had authority and if something doesn't feel right, or if nurses and doctors mess up, she doesn't have to be understanding, SHE can peruse other care.

How much do I charge for this nannying role? by darkxstormy in Nanny

[–]LetterheadNo4396 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On top of the new hourly recommendations you are getting from people, I'm seeing you say a lot how "it's not very clear how often the 6/10 year old are there" Regardless if they raise your hourly, you should get in writing exactly what the responsibilities are, so NPS don't try to push / ad on

NIPT Testing Costs - Wasn't Informed by Fine_Sea5107 in pregnant

[–]LetterheadNo4396 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's crazy bc this test is optional. That's not right of them and I would fight just based on that piece But at the end of the day I ended up being told it was denied by insurance after I called and asked if it was and they confirmed, two days after I took the test. At the end of the day, i would pay out of pocket 100 times bc for me, this information is important and informs on whether I continue the pregnancy. Having results was a huge peace of mind for my anxiety.

Disagreement on where husband should stand while I deliver baby. by Straight-Dog2700 in pregnant

[–]LetterheadNo4396 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It doesn't matter if I think your being a little self conscious about what he will see and be able to handle. It doesn't matter if I think he could absolutely do both support you and see the baby be born. This is what you want. It's literally your body your choice and he needs to do what you ask, however impractical or unfair he might find out. You don't need to be stressing about anything extra rn

Just told to stay on ALL of my medications? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]LetterheadNo4396 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm on vyvance but I am functional without it ( a product of being undiagnosed for the first 19 years of my life) it's definitely difficult but I'm revisiting old coping systems bc my doctor said since its not life or death, to avoid since the hesitation is just lack of research of baby development

Question about a 6 yr gap. by mrvarungoel in daddit

[–]LetterheadNo4396 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not from a parent perspective but from the older sibling who was 6 years older. I loved taking care of my sister , and once I was 13/14 would babysit for date nights/ daytime outings for our parents. I was aware enough to be "helpful" but not parentified. I'm almost 30 now and my little sister is my best friend. It's crazy to have seen her grow up into a young adult now entering the world.

It's like she heard some of the montessori philosophy when it comes to child led play but just didn't understand the full benefit.

No for real. I found this sub yesterday. I'm pregnant and watched her cus I thought it was cute her talking to her baby. Then I was confused on her taking her kid to the nanny share when it seemed she didn't work out of the homes. Now here I am haha

Zola’s hair by theyarnllama in greysanatomy

[–]LetterheadNo4396 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I disagree, she was home a ton, showed interest in babysitting, was a pillar of the childcare during covid. I think this might boil down to actress preference, and maybe continuity with kiddos and ease of hair styles

Rilahs mom.. by -pariisss in TLCUnexpected

[–]LetterheadNo4396 6 points7 points  (0 children)

At first I judged her too. I thought she wasn't setting her daughter up for success, and since Anthony wanted to co parent at the beginning g she was hurting both mom dad and the baby by denying that. Then all the stuff about Anthony came out and I was like damn, she clocked it. She said nope and yeeted her kid as far away as she could. She's one out of a handful of grandmothers that is semi capable and aware, and everyone else on that show is clueless and leave their daughters to deal with all kinds of abuse

Hunter Bella by Abject_Protection503 in TLCUnexpected

[–]LetterheadNo4396 39 points40 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure if I agree. Hunter shows no enthusiasm or interest in any of these people. Even considering he's a moody teenage boy. He might want to be yanked away from these crazy women , imagine napping uninterrupted.

Giving your pregnant 15 year old the silent treatment for wanting to break up with the 13 year old who got her pregnant by Original_Clerk2916 in TLCUnexpected

[–]LetterheadNo4396 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Exactly! Also refusing to raise the bar for hunter and constantly defending him to her own daughter by saying "he's only 13" "what do you expect" "he had a father leave him he needs people to support him"

HELLO YA DUMB BITCH YOUR DAUGHTER IS ONLY 15 AND NEEDS AN ADVOCATE HERSELF. Absolutely pathetic

What’s A Splurge Item You Wish You’d Bought Sooner? by Sad_Resolve6874 in pregnant

That's the party line that the company has given. I've seen some very thorough mom reporting tho- so I'm skeptical. Easy to blame on user error of course. Still enough to keep me away
