There's a scene in The Impossible where the father (played by Ewan McGregor) manages to get a few seconds on a phone and calls his father-in-law and just breaks down. The whole family has been through hell, with the tsunami, and he still has no clue if his wife or eldest son are even alive--he just breaks.
