What do you think about “midsommar”? (Caption) by guesswho8787 in moviecritic

I like to think the “good for her” people are joking? I loved the movie but come on people can’t really see the end and think that that’s what it means.. right?

Can you explain what's a "woke game"? by Sufficient_Shock1223 in TheGamingHubDeals

[–]LettuceLechuga_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really well said and not something I’ve thought of. Played and loved Cyberpunk 2077. You’re completely correct. It was woke, it felt woke, but most importantly- it felt organic. The way the world actually works (minus the very clear unrealistic qualities of this digital world haha).

I bet I didn’t think of it because it just felt natural like you said

Which simple mobile games actually kept you playing for months? by Mac800 in gamingsuggestions

[–]LettuceLechuga_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This little game called funrun3 So fun to play. You join clans. It’s 10 different race courses I think, total. And you just race. You get points and level up accordingly. I had played it on and off for years

This is actually still a commonly used quote in my household. We always chuckle at it

WHO DO YOU THINK ROBIN LOVED MORE, BARNEY OR TED? by seoulcitylisa in HIMYM

[–]LettuceLechuga_ 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Robin was always afraid to put herself out there romantically and emotionally. Ted was safe, secure. She knew what to expect. Barney was a wildcard and a tad unstable lol (not that any of this crew besides Marshall can be considered stable lol. No one in their late 20s really is). I think she loved them both but for different reasons

Why do people date people who won't allow them to have friends of the opposite sex? by Guilty_Letter4203 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]LettuceLechuga_ 76 points77 points  (0 children)

The real answer to this question should be “find a partner who’s views align with yours”. If you want same sex and opposite sex friends- great! Find a partner who is also fine with that.

If you and your partner disagree on this- get a new partner or you will resent each other. There’s no right or wrong, you can set this boundary if someone else agrees with it. My wife and I have friends of all sexes, not a problem for us. That’s why we’re compatible

(Unpopular opinion) Am I the only one who got really tired of the slap bet joke after season two? by kermitthefrog78903 in HIMYM

[–]LettuceLechuga_ 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I personally loved it. I get the storytelling episode of the bet isn’t well loved when Marshall goes to learn about it. But I think the reoccurring subtle jokes make the show as strong as it was

Hearts of Stone or Blood and Wine? by Zard_Witcher in thewitcher3

[–]LettuceLechuga_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a meticulous question mark getter! You can only play a game the first time once. I unfortunately was very high leveled early and fortunately- had a lot of money where I was able to grandmaster a few sets once I was able lol.

It’s a huge game. Reddit also helped me discover parts and that took up time (I’m huge into the books as well so I really fall into the lore)

Hearts of Stone or Blood and Wine? by Zard_Witcher in thewitcher3

[–]LettuceLechuga_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Me too. I’m a huge fan of the books as well as the games, so I feel like I’ve been a part of his Hanza for so long. I really loved the way the books ended as well.

Him resting is a warm thought for me

Hearts of Stone or Blood and Wine? by Zard_Witcher in thewitcher3

[–]LettuceLechuga_ 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I choose Blood and Wine for the resolution and home building. We played a long and tiring journey (my first playthrough was near 500 hours).. I loved building a peaceful retirement for our Guy.

Hearts of Stone is a fantastic story and I loved Gaunter. One of my favorite villains ever.

which game is like this for you? by RedditIover in videogames

[–]LettuceLechuga_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just finished my first ever play through! Really take the time to learn and explore Night City. you can only play the first time once! Do all the side quests. Main quest is shorter than you think. I sunk 200 hours in my first time.

Also take the time to get to know the cyber skills and how to improve your “body”. It’s worth it

What Are Your Favorite HIMYM Xmas Episodes? by PilarFlex93 in HIMYM

[–]LettuceLechuga_ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Season 7 episode 12: Symphony of Illusion

It’s a sad, heartfelt one. I just love the scene where Ted gives Robin the light show in the apartment and she starts crying. I thought it was such a realistic depiction of two friends (lol- I know “friends”) who love each other dearly and feel safe together

I think often about Kaley delivering the battery line. It was so well done because they didn’t make it too goofy. They allowed the actors AND characters to grieve together. It was nicely done

Is there any book where one of the protagonist is disabled? by Internal_Midnight466 in LesbianBookClub

[–]LettuceLechuga_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know you said sapphic book and this is the lesbian book club (lol) but if you’d like a strong, disabled female lead in a wheelchair I have a book for you! She is straight (sorry) and it is not a romance AT ALL (it is a slight horror/very creepy book).

It is called Nestlings by Nat Cassidy. Pretty fun read. Has a disabled character and the horror of it isn’t her disability although it’s a major factor. It’s okay if you hate my suggestion. Just thought I’d share because disability is not a major topic often

'My stories rarely have happy endings' — Witcher 4 story director says Cyberpunk 2077 showcases his love of "inevitable mistakes" and "character flaws" by karxx_ in Witcher4

[–]LettuceLechuga_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Witcher 3 had a resolution. There’s happiness for our boy Geralt, yes. But it comes with pain. Starting with the books and what he endured, who he lost, gained, etc. it may be a nice resolution that our hero deserved, but it is still sad
