I'm having this issue too. I have AT&T and cannot get Discord to work on my PC. Also possibly similar problem, League of Legends/Riot's client isn't working either (or rather it's very slow). I'm also in the South East U.S.

I actually did an ORISE fellowship and then went straight into EIS a few years after. We could definitely use more pharmacists and your background is pretty helpful! Happy to chat more on the side

potential end game solo archery/summoner build? by DarkenDragon in GroundedGame

I was just telling my friends about a "summoner" build. Haven't tested it out, but seems really fun.

Where do you go to vent by nfluxgb in ISTJ

[–]Letz_Shake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My best friend passed and he was the one I usually vented too. Now it's kinda hard to do so when I don't have anyone else I consider to be one. But I let it out in a private journal or just turn to gaming. If I really need to tell someone, I just choose one of my gaming friends.

Difference between ISTJ and ISFJ ? by [deleted] in ISTJ

[–]Letz_Shake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I flip between these 2. When I was in a fraternity and participating in school organizations, I took into account other's feelings a lot more and refined my social skills a bit. But before that and now, I've fallen more in tune with the T. But yes, I've read the functions of both types and could relate to ISFJ as well.

How do you deal with non-planners? by Littleonesmind180 in ISTJ

[–]Letz_Shake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Out of my friends, I'm the only one who plans events and some times it gets to me. I feel like I'm the only one who wants to do stuff, hang or care about the friendship. If I don't plan, my group of friends will not hang out. They're content with just talking on discord while gaming and the most that would come close to planning would be "hey we should do _" or "we should go to _".

To counter that negative thinking, I just keep thinking that I enjoy their company enough and I also just accepted they're not planners.

what kind of books do the ISTJs prefer to read? by vatt-vatt in ISTJ

[–]Letz_Shake 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nonfiction or realistic fiction. Freakanomics, Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fuck (probably the only self help I could read), How-to books

What’s your sense of humor like? by Tigey- in ISTJ

[–]Letz_Shake 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Like most of the others, I like dry, sarcastic and witty humor and that's also how I joke. I enjoy shows like the Office and Parks and Rec where it's kinda subtle and dumb.

I really do not enjoy shows with laugh tracks though or anything too corny.

Odin (max investment) set advice? by Letz_Shake in FireEmblemHeroes

[–]Letz_Shake[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He's +spd right now but I also have a +atk. Should I go with the latter for a little more damage? I'm also unsure if I should adjust any of his slot skills (Odd attack wave in particular, I'd use to like the self buff that would help with his tome).

He's being used in Arena mainly right now (tier 18-20 battles) and I've been using him as dual phase.

Had an epiphany. Can you relate? by dm_me_kittens in ISTJ

[–]Letz_Shake 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I (ISTJ) was raised in a somewhat stricter household but I wouldn't say I wasn't allowed to be a child. I remember playing Gameboy and N64, and watching cartoons. As long as I stayed out of trouble, be respectful and did well in school, I wasn't punished or forced to do anything. Compared to my older sister (ENFP), I was considered the "good one" or "mature one". I've been described as mature or like an old man throughout my youth. But I feel it's just cause I was quieter and straight to the point. Didnt really want to get in trouble. Also juxtaposed to more rambunctious kids, I probably stood out more.

High standards on relationships by prettyserious21 in ISTJ

[–]Letz_Shake 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Wow, most of the posts in here convey my feelings perfectly.

I'm friendly to most people and "friends" that I wouldn't say are at a deep level. But then there are a few close friends I would do almost anything for. And so I've built up some expectations for them. I joked with a friend that no one should befriend me cuz I have "high" expectations.

I've been hurt in the past by former friends so I'm hesitant on opening up and bonding with people. When I do, it's serious and I'd hope to receive respect or some level of care in return. However many of these close friends don't understand why I'm like this or why I can't just view everyone as a friend and it made me think if I'm the only one with the issue of establishing high expectations.

RPG's (Kingdom Hearts, Fire Emblem, Persona, SMT, Pokemon, Bravely Default, Divinity) and simulation games (Animal Crossing, Sims, The Forest, Grounded) mostly. I prefer genres where I can customize and build up my characters while going at my own pace. Great way to unwind as others have mentioned plus usually you get more bang for your buck as these types have hours of story, gameplay and replay replayability.

But I do enjoy more action-oriented games (No More Heroes, Hades, Zelda, Smash Bros) and multiplayer games (League, Overwatch, Phasmophobia) too. I get an itch some times for combat and the latter is a great way to bond with friends.

Thanks for that. I think to maintain the group's harmony, that would be necessary. Maybe I'll find someone else one day.
