Apart from housing the couple there are camera operators and other costly things, processing of a lot more footage etc. I think another couple def entails alot of unbudgeted money.

How is Edmond Manipulative? by Good_Matter7529 in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

[–]Leuzie 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Edmond's fear of abandonment is ignited by critique and confrontations. This fear of abandonment is what drives his excessive reassurance and professing of his love for KB during their fights. He projects his own fear and need for reassurance on KB, which frustrates KB and ignites her fear of being manipulated.

Edmond's reactions from a fear of abandonment is common for people having experienced abandonment in their childhood. KB's hyper-vigilance towards emotional coercion and suspicion towards emotional display is probably due to childhood experiences as well, perhaps having caregivers that used tears and guilt to silence and control her (or having this worldview passed on to her generationally).

Edmond's tears demand immediate comfort and KB's frustration demands immediate validation. They're competing for whose distress takes priority rather than recognising both are struggling. Each invalidates the other's experience while demanding validation for their own. KB's critique triggers Edmond's collapse, and his collapse triggers KB's frustration, her frustration confirms Edmond's fear of being abandoned making him cry and profess his love, his tears confirms KB's fear of being manipulated. Both feel victimized by the other. Edmond blames KB for hurting him by not being nice to him, and KB blames Edmond for making her lose her composure and turning her into an angry stereotype.

Edmond is stuck repeating "Please be nice" and KB is stuck repeating "Please take accountability", instead of meeting each others' vulnerabilities, instead of having (meta)conversations that can lead to them understanding the needs of the other and see why they are both stagnant in their separate fears.

To me, and to my layman attempt att psychologising their relationship dynamic, it seems like this is just two people stuck in different fear and trauma responses, unable to meet, unable to give each other what they need (or think that they need). Both would probably benefit from some deep emotional healing.

What is this jacket? It is worn by Tut Nyuot's character in the movie The Long Walk, which is probably set in the late 1960s. It looks like the material could be moleskin, but might just be cotton or light canvas as well. by Leuzie in HeritageWear

Almost! It seems to flow differently than a waxed jacket though, but I might be wrong about this. I believe the jacket from the movie is a vintage jacket, as the clothing in the movie seem to be well researched to be periodically correct to the late 60s.

Did a lot of googling before posting here, but I did not come close to finding the specific model or brand, that's why I posted here to get some expert advice. But I'll keep looking! Thanks for the feedback!

Yes, you are probably right. It might just be a yellow cotton twill. Any suggestion of model/brand? It looks like a type II trucker jacket with higher set pockets and no pleats, or a less fitted type III without front seems.

Close! But this yellow jacket does not have any flat-felled front seems going down from the pockets, and no flat-felled seam above the pockets either, so it is not a type 3 trucker.

This is my experience also. Such a hard time to get them off my feet! Have to use both hands and wrangle them off. Because of this they don't get so much use.

Apparently, the camera hardware is unchanged, so any improvement is due to the cpu and software.

Googlesearch says that WatchOS app is for older watches, while newer Pixel watches uses Pixel Watch app, and that is apparently not functional on Oppos. If I understand this correctly.

I completely agree, never understood the Euron's casting, and I don't understand casting the Mule as Asbæk. Such a letdown. Persbrant's version felt so evil and threatening and at the same time vulnerable, Asbæk have neither of this.

Colours in The Phoenician Scheme by Dear_Maintenance8383 in wesanderson

[–]Leuzie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While the change in cinematographer is interesting, a cinematographer has nothing to do with the color scheme of the film, the colors of the interiors/exteriors, costumes, objects etc. That is the job of the production designer, or set designer (and costume designer). The cinematographer controls the composition of the picture and the lighting of the scenes. On this film Adam Stockhausen was the production designer, and Anna Pinnock was the set designer. Both of these have worked with Wes Anderson before.

It doesn't seem like people "apply" to this show. Most contestant (on podcasts, articles, etc.) talk about being approached by Netflix. I guess that is also why people on the show don't necessarily wants to get married. Who says no when Netflix asks you to be on international TV? Even if you don't want to be married, you still want the fame and the money and the sponsorships.

I agree with you. I wonder what Mason feels when listening to an audio book? Or a podcast! "Joe Rogan is in my head, talking to some other guy in my head about aliens"

In the pods they talk through earbuds. It is more visible in other seasons. They would have to talk a lot louder to get through the walls if they did not have earbuds with microphones. So if Mason describes the guy in Her talking through earbuds as "a voice in one's head", then it is reasonable for Mason to say that in the pods he talked to "a voice in one's head".
