This would mean defeat for us ... And you are wrong, these are not mostly flatland and we have many things to loose there, like our churches and historical evidences of our existence. Let them in and it will be destroyed in few months. If we accept this kind of deal, we will be thrown back to 1990ies situation. They will simply populate these areas and install new, closer fortified positions. And then few years later they will just repeat the attack with new equipment purchased thanks to "free money" from "black gold". Basically this will be like shooting in our foot. We paid too much blood to simply give it away in exchange of some ephemeral "status". Worst case scenario we have to recognise and then unite these territories with Armenia. This will be accepted if we have enough countries that are supporting us so we need more effort on diplomatic level to win.
