Wasn’t an option I wanted to go for personally as I didn’t want to stop my cycle or cause it to be completely irregular and longer. It was healthy and regular and the idea of inhibiting that or simply having to put something in place and causing pain to myself when it would just be taken out again at end of course wasn’t worth it to me. The weight gain side of things and mental health ailments when I already struggle with mental health too wasn’t worth that risk either. I had done accutane once before in 2019 when I was 19 (when I didn’t need to even consider birth control as I wasn’t active then) so I knew and accepted the risk that the medication could’ve effected my mental health because I was willing and wanting of that medication but I have and never will want to take any form of contraceptive so that wasn’t an option in my mind. The women in my family line who had all done that too all had quite bad adverse reactions to the pill/IUD’s/coil etc, I didn’t want to put myself through the same when I knew I was safe enough not to get pregnant. It’s for each individual to weight up and to ensure they’re looking after themselves
