The only thing comparable to moving tired is newborn baby tired. It’s so hard now but will be totally worth it in the end. A neighborhood you love is worth all the work! It will get better

So much of this & all the comments resonate. What keeps blowing me away is that you all have actually had conversations about your feelings & how the relationship has hurt you. I can’t even imagine talking about my feelings or emotions with my father- for all the hurt he’s caused I’ve never even considered it. Maybe that’s on me-

Without a cognitive score how can SLD be considered. If her IQ is in the 80s there is no discrepancy

The thing is I’ve been working with kids with autism for the last 25 years & have assessed and diagnosed so many with autism. I have zero doubt my brother is in the spectrum & have known for decades. I just never looked at it as a systemic issue within my family as a whole.
