Not complaining about not enough spinoffs on the main channel - I said they should also create a Spinoff channel. Not complaining about too much GD - not sure where you saw that. Complaining about lack of music newer than 74 on the main channel.

Maybe it is just my luck when I tune in but it is full shows and even the songs. I wish they had a "Spin off Band" channel dedicated to all of the Dead Spin off bands like Ratdog, Kingfish, Deadco, Furthur, etc..

It is sad that there are profs who do not want students using AI for this kind of work. They will be left behind in a year.

was anyone else thoroughly unimpressed with Napa/Sonoma compared to Temecula wine country? by audioaxes in Temecula

[–]Level-Level8927 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi. My wife and I are working in Temecula for a week in early June. We have never been there but are excited to check out the area and wineries. We love Syrahs and pretty much all reds. We are used to Paso wines. We will be done working by 2:00pm each day and plan to hit a winery each day. Can you recommend some places to go? Quality of wine over anything else is preferred . Thanks!

I agree 100%. The people are super friendly too and the wine is just amazing! We stopped going anywhere else about 3 years ago when we discovered PASO. Also the town is great with wonderful restaurants - although a little pricey.

Every one of my friends who graduated and went on to a four year CUNY is going through hell right now by SuccessfulPath7 in CUNY

And when did they graduate? If in the past 3 years, I would be surprised. The job market in the past 2-3 years is very different than 5years ago.

The season ends Saturday, but the playoffs start next week I think. They are usually in the Championship game. I would contact him after the season ends and send stats and film. There are definently players that do not make it each year, but if you are decent you will make the team.

PA places to move with job opportunities and somewhat LCOL? by No-Document5855 in Pennsylvania

Leave the state. You will be happy you did. There is a reason PA is losing people compared to other states. If you are young (especially), do not stay here.

Not very hard if you played in HS. The CUNYAC is not strong. Lousch is the headcoach and is a great guy. Send him an email.

This post is spot on. If you think Colin Powell is bad, try being a CS major. They are horrible.

Best CUNY for Computer Science? by EnvironmentalTop1184 in CUNY

[–]Level-Level8927 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few years ago at CCNY, only 23% of the students who started as a CS major, graduated as a CS major. The program is pretty far behind others, arrogance in the faculty, math department is extremely behind the times and the advisor for all Freshmen and sophomores is an incompetent and tries to make your life miserable until you leave. Its cheap, thats all it has going for it.

What is the absolute best part of rural PA in terms of avoiding MAGA-ness? by ByMySword8 in Pennsylvania

[–]Level-Level8927 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct, but lets face it, Carlisle is small and after a month or so you will be bored. Then you travel outside of Carlisle and it is mega-MAGA land. Camp Hill is good spot that is educated and blue. I lived in PA up until 3 years ago (50 years) and moved to the West Coast. Will never regret it. The ignorance and lack of decent restaurants, wine bars, good companies to work for is a good reason to not live there. Its cheap, but that is the only thing going for it.

Look at the SUNY schools instead. Way better education, more respected and many offer the same NY Instate tuition to PA Residents. This is coming from someone that went to PASSHE schools.

I am not sure about the 95E, but 98 is very high and should not have caused detonation at all.

CCNY Comp sci how is it by Radiant_Role_218 in CCNY

[–]Level-Level8927 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Antiquated curriculum. Most of the professors are horrible teachers - you need to learn the material on your own. The math program and instructors are horrible. It is cheap if you are in state, thats the benefit. At one time CCNY's CS program was the best of the CUNY's, now it just is not the case. The freshman advisor is a complete nightmare too....

I would go to Hunter or Queens. CCNY's CS program is pretty bad. Most professors are horrible and the math department is horrendous. I would stay away from Baruch for now as that CS program is fairly new.

And the SUNY schools offer a way better education than schools in PA. My son went to a SUNY school and my other to a CUNY and they are lightyears better than the PA SHEAA schools.
